There were just so many things to track last year in the waning games (notably 400 bases). Not often a dude enters a top storied franchise and starts re writing the record book like a blank canvas. Some special narratives we have waiting in the future when it's all put together.

Also his '18 BC #1 non-auto batting PSA 10 - $1,890.

BC's hit $2200 back in 2021 (where I exited), but yeah, his stuff isn't cheap and as TB said, there is starting to be a lot of movement ToppsNow stuff. It's wild.

I stand corrected on his BC card(s).

I really think due to the meteoric jump in prices in his higher end stuff, quite a few people have become priced out so have switched to hunting "bargains" on the lower end, such as TN cards. But because of increased demand for lower end like TN, they are now starting to see upward movement as well. It's like a self-licking ice cream cone.

I think you are saying the same thing. It is incredible to watch, and as was stated earlier, if he has an epic postseason run, it will go higher, and it's a short offseason to the WBC in March.

Looking at the trends of RC sales....I think the next jump will be with flagship and other popular brands non numbered SP cards. The numbered and SSP cards are probably out of the price range of the average collector at this point.

I can't decide which card to sell to upgrade my PC.
Should I sell my 2018 Stadium Club Auto or my Topps Now Rookie Cup /25 Auto?
It's a tough choice both cards are rare and valuable.

I can't believe the prices of the non-auto bowman chrome refractors or really the base bowman chrome...From a collecting perspective, I feel like there's not really much to choose from for anyone looking to get into Shohei Ohtani rookies now. All that's really out there are just some flagship base and/or retail refractors and they're still expensive lol. You've gotta get creative if you want to collect Shohei cards.

Just wanted to share some of my recently graded cards. All of these, except for the Triple Threads were pack pulled. Back in 2018, I was primarily looking to get Acuña cards from the packs I opened, but instead it was Ohtani. Ill be grading more in the next couple of months, not as good as these, but mostly 2018 stuff.

I've been reading this thread for years, but it’s always tough to choose which PC card to sell, especially when it’s a Shohei.

Nice! It seems the 50/50 set relic cards are a tough grade (as are most fattie relic cards in general). I also got a BGS 8.5 for my 50/50 orange foil relic auto...8.5 centering and edges ensured I got an 8.5. =/

Looking at the PSA database, 5 of the auto relics have been graded: a 9, two 8's, a 7, and a 6 (the 1/1 ouch).
For 30 50/50 relic-only card subs, 6 10's, 10 9's, 9 8's, 3 7's, and a 6.

The fact these cards all were redemptions and came from the factory in those conditions....thats pretty lame.
