I love the Mick but I would have kept it slabbed. I just like the look of slabbed cards, even ones with poor grades, just a personal preference. In any event, congratulations on the pick up and even better on checking off the set.

Thanks Jared! I've just always liked them all being together in the binder as a set.

Not to mention graded cards is an expensive, slippery slope ha. I'd rather have more cards, and more sets completed than less cards (graded) and less sets completed (graded). Since I'd go crazy if they weren't all one way or the other ha.

Interesting fact about Al Lopez...one of only two HOF managers (Wilbert Robinson is the other) not to win the World Series (or equivalent).

I've been watching Joe Sewell autos for months. This isn't a card but a Polaroid that came up in my search. I bought it. I know he inscribed some autos "thanks for remembering me" - I see that guy in this photo. If you look at the other seller's listing there are some inscribed "to Tony".

I don't plan on ever letting it die, at least not until we get through the list at least once. The lack of participation has dampened my enthusiasm in staying current with it though.

The Mack was my most recent pick up, it will be getting sent out to SGC in my next batch.

It was SO COOL. I totally changed my opinion from "Ah, I can get it cheaper on ebay." to "Getting the pictures, videos, and talking to them is TOTALLY worth the extra money!"
