Sounds like it was all his agent Nez Balelo's doing, based on excerpts of the complaint in the article. We need to get OhioLawyer in here.

Whoops, I misspoke. Pink refractor PSA 10 sold for $1.5k and $1.2k in 2021 and 2023, respectively. The $1.5k sale was probably during the peak COVID bubble, and the $1.2k sale was when he was on his ridiculous heater during the summer of '23.
$865 sale is 3rd highest.

Imagine if Mookie was having just an average season for his standards....Shohei would probably be on pace for 160+ easily.
