The Heat finished 7th in the East.

Tyler Herro played the most MPG and averaged just over 20 PPG for them.

Now you're suggesting they were maybe the best ECF team all along without one of their most key players and scorers?

Caleb Martin only started 4 playoff games for the Heat. So you are factually wrong in your claims about him starting the other playoff series.

Kevin Love started only 17 games in the reg season for them and was forced into big playoff minutes and started most games.

Max Strus started only 33 games in reg season and was forced to start all the playoff games.

Gabe Vincent started only 34 games in reg season and started 22 of 23 games, was injured the other.

They didn't have Oladipo either in the postseason.

The fact that the Cs badly choked against this squad of walking wounded doesn't make them a very good team, much less the best in the East. Upsets happen in sports.

Last year's Nuggets got the luckiest path of any champion ever. They played one team seeded above 7, that's simply a #Fact. Over the past 6 years of playoffs, Denver has proven they simply can't hang with the truly good teams, but they can win a cakewalk to the Finals.

it makes one realize just how much luck the Sixers would need to win a Finals. Embiid will need a lot of luck with his health especially

- You are bringing Oladipo up? That alone should get you the L in the argument.
- It doesn't matter that Kevin Love, Vincent and Strus didn't play that much in the regular season. They were starting in the playoffs, where they beat the Bucks and Celtics.
- Herro didn't play against the Celtics either.
- Sure, I'll give you that Caleb Martin played more against them I guess?

Luck involves facing injured teams or getting crazy streaks (from 3 or even from the line). Heat got lucky against the Bucks from 3 but beat the Celtics in 7 fair and square...and then with pretty much the same team, they lost in 5 against the Nuggets.

That's not luck, that just proves that the Nuggets would have beaten a healthy Celtics team. And the Lakers also beat a fully healthy Grizzlies team (although I think Memphis would have played better without Dillon Brooks) and got swept so the Nuggets would have beaten them too.

Meanwhile your boy Embiid's biggest Playoff scalp is the Wizards with Beal/Westbrook.

I'd probably keep pretty quiet at this point.

Killed off the dribble. Indy's going to have to decide whether they want to let Boston launch 3's or get uncontested layups.

At this point? Gotta let them bomb, right? Just hope they don’t shoot the lights out

Spectacular resilience by the Pacers there.

No fg's in the first 4 minutes and end the q with 31 points. Muy bien hecho.

Much better than getting killed on uncontested floaters, imo.

They just don't have any defenders to stay in front of Boston's wings in tight ISO situations. Sag off a bit and live with the consequences.

would much rather have Jaylen taking semi contested 3s than a blow by every time for sure

Cavs JV squad gave Boston all they could handle. I'd be confident as hell if I was a Pacers fan

Boston's not going to keep up that 1q shooting. If we know anything, is that JT and JB tend to fall into deep cold stretches. Definitely let them chuck.

God I'm so smitten with the overs in this series.
