Wow you know he is good, but when you see his accolades laid out like that it's like damn he is so head and shoulders above the rest. Definitely on track to chase Tom to be the goat.

Take his name out of your mouth it will never happen! Worry about catching Manning first you’re a long ways off before you do that need to be 3–1 see how silly you sound then 4-1 to catch Aikman then 5-1 to pass Montana then 8-1 to pass Brady because he whipped you head to head. Just stop with the thought of ever catching Brady. Just enjoy Patty’s own career for what it is.

I agree and on a historic pace as well. One of the few athletes that is must watch TV every week. Obviously a long way to go, but starts like this don't just come along... well ever. Very excited to watch his career! Sunday can't come soon enough!! I just think the Eagles will get exposed this game for the unbelievably easy schedule they had this year against the Chiefs who I think are very battle tested.

I believe this game will either make me or lose me about $50,000-$100,000 in card values. So yeah, it matters to me lol. Also, I just love sports and tend to get butterflies for big games regardless of who’s playing. Might be weird to you but I’m okay with it.

The Brady thing is going to be an impossible task for Mahomes……. Even if he gets to 7 or possibly 8 (which is an unrealistic thought anyhow)…. You are being compared head up to a guy who came into your house in 18 and took one from you; took another one from you in 2020; and mind you both times he was over 40……….. plus he won his 7 through the prime years of manning/Rodgers/early mahomes/roethlisberger/brees

This Sunday is way more important for Mahomes’ legacy than people realize. If he wins we are looking at 2 sb and 2 mvp…….. at that point I think he jumps into the top 6/8 convo if he never played another game. He is in truly elite company and getting that second really opens up the gateway to more. Reid has much less pressure at that point and so would Mahomes

A loss would be a huge hit…… you’d be looking at 5 home championship games and 3 Super Bowl appearances… and only 1 win…… you’d be looking at the greatest statistical qb ever thus far with the best winning percentage……… who only cashed in once. The pressure only mounts from there on both Reid and himself as the thought of underachieving and the stigma is hard to overcome. Losing the biggest games certainly changes people and those losses perpetuate doubt.

Manning in 09 was in a similar spot… a win there and he is head and shoulders over Brady at that point with multiple chips and three mvps…… and his career may have unfolded a bit different…… but taking yet another bad beat was just something he couldn’t recover from in the hobby or on the field.

Mahomes has an incredible opportunity to write an epic narrative on his legacy this Sunday and it could be incredible; or it could really be the beginning of heavy doubt. I think mahomes fans and chiefs fans alike feel this pressure

I'm in the same boat, but I don't really care that much about money. I was just trying to offer some reasoning as to why you shouldn't worry about it, but everyone is different and we don't all handle things the same way, I get it. Reason and logic don't really seem to mesh well with sports fandom, this board has helped me come to that realization (which should have been pretty obvious tbh.)
