I would just want to wash my hands already wasted more time dealing with it than it's worth. Especially when they are being an arse. Not worth it on any ese.

Tracking now has it Out For Delivery. He refuses to close the case "When I receive it I will". Oh how sweet it will be if that gets marked Delivered tonight

That would be cool. I also know he's gonna try to do a refund for condition then, even though I marked it as Excellent. He's just got that vibe to him.

He would be stupid to close the case. Tge only thing it will extend possibly is tge time it takes ebay to rule on the case which as it stands right now will be in his favor

If he claims damage just refund and file the pip claim, like you really should have done as soon as he messaged you about the item last week. If you know he is going to open a return that will cost you more money as you will have to pay for the return shipping. Sometimes you gotta cut your losses and move on.

You are making this alot more complicated than it needs to be

Moved to the 2nd now. Honestly don't care about the $10. I don't care about complicating it. At this point I want to make it as hard on him as possible because he's an ass. I rarely have these issues. If he could have just been decent about it I would have had no problem doing the PIP. Instead he claims he's 'getting played' and 'doesn't have time for BS'.

More reason to just wash your hands of it and move on. Not worth dealing with

So can we void these labels now that they charge right as you purchase the label?

Is there a way for a Buy It Now with Best Offer listing to include an ESE shipping option if it sells for under $20?

For example if I have a card listed for $25 and it sells for $15, can I then offer the ESE shipping for the card instead of the higher priced bubble mailer option?

I know a lot of the time payment is required immediately now so seems like that complicates things in this case.

SO to test the theory I listed a card at that I had sold under ESE for $2 at $25 as a BIN with a BO for $10 and an auto accept of $15. So I guess you can.

I did go and end this as fast as I could because I didnt want someone buying it again/.

The majority of my listings are free shipping. So when this happens, I just reach out to the buyer and let them know I'm sending it ESE since it sold for less than $20, but if they would like it BMWT, I'd be happy to split the cost with them. 99.9% of them have been fine with ESE.

That would actually be against ebay rules. If one reports you they could get you for search manipulation. You are listing and utilizing the free shipping search and charging additional for shipping. Also ebay made it a rule years ago what you stated as shipping is what you have to charge you cannot change it unless the buyer specifically asks for changes which you do not have to do. There is also the fact you cannot list an item at 25.00 fixed and state ese as the method it goes to ground advantage. If you state that then ship ese you are again in violation if ebay policies not that tgey do anything there but just saying

Me I charge 1.50 for most cards if it's over 20(was 10.00) I automatically upgrade it for free. Over 50. I upgrade to priority at no extra charge

I'm not sure I agree with this. If I offer free shipping, the buyer doesn't really have a say on how I ship it. If my listing states USPS Ground Advantage, that's why I reach out to the buyer. Besides, this would be LESS shipping that comes out of my pocket. Remember, I'm offering free shipping in either case.

I searched the eBay forums and there's not much out there regarding a situation where you sell a card that was listed for more than $20, but it goes for less.

So I went to my friend Chat GPT and it came back with the below response. I don't think ESE would be available for me to choose if it didn't qualify after the buyer paid for the card.

EDIT: I think you were saying that the offer to split shipping would be against the rules. You are correct on that and I was incorrect that it would even be an option. I had one buyer decline and we decided to cancel the order. I misread and thought you were saying pivoting to ESE would be against the rules.

If the buyer pays right away though then it won't matter and they would pay the default higher price for shipping even if the card is under $20 and qualifies for ESE.

I guess the only way to make it work would be to give the buyer an option if they haven't paid yet and see which they prefer and adjust the shipping price down if they roll with ESE.

If I offer free shipping, they wouldn't have already paid the higher price. I think I just got my wires crossed with shrevecity as he was talking about my offer to split the higher amount versus me paying the lower ESE shipping out of my pocket.

"Orders under $50 will be shipped ESE. Orders over $50 will be shipped Ground Advantage."

Notice the term orders vs items. If someone buys a single item for $25 they'll be happy when it comes GA instead of ESE.

You should have zero cards listed at $25. You don't even make an extra dollar while charging the customer an extra $5. Go straight from $19.99 to $29.99 and don't back off unless they are buying multiple items.

I agree with this, but my range is nothing between $19.99 and $25.00

All you can do is neg him. If you have not icked it up yet you can refuse, the only legit reason per Ebay rules is if item arrives postage due. but Ebay will not do anything else if he chooses not to refund.

If it was too rigid it got upgraded to Ground advantage.
