Explain what you think I'm saying in that comment as I have a feeling you're misunderstanding me once again ...
Just like SB mvp im sure there are players who won 1 1st team All Pro and never were heard from again. I get your point though. You have to be good for an entire season and the best at your position to win 1st team All Pro while a SB MVP only needs a timely int lasting 4 seconds in one game.

The best bet imo for a true conference rivalry is Newton/Winston as they're both still quite young, play on teams with decent history and good defenses, and play in the same division! Imagine if Brady and Manning had played in the same division ... that would have been insane!
I think Luck/Bortles could become a great perennial QB matchup if they both continue to improve along with their teams. The Colts finally invested in their O-Line in the draft to protect Luck while the Jaguars finally beefed up their defense this offseason. Has potential to become the next great division rivalry IMO.

Yup, I was right ... you completely misunderstood me.

I was saying Brady/Manning IS AKIN to Magic/Bird, both of whom were amazing.

I was also saying that many fans of each player, NOT ME, want to pretend that "their guy" was akin to Jordan, while the other guy was akin to Drexler.

I completely forgot about the Jags (kinda like their fans) ... you may be right! I actually really like Bortles game and think he can be a very, very good QB, and the Jags off-season and draft this year were insanely good, so, who knows.

I understand what you're saying about Graham's titles being similar to Russell's and I wouldn't disagree with you on that point. However, I don't see any similarity between Brady's and Jordan's titles and that's where we differ.

Jordan wasn't just a guy that experienced a lot of team success, he was known as the most dominant individual player in the league at his time. He was a perennial 1st team all-nba and mvp. Brady isn't that guy. Brady has just two 1st team all-pros in his 14 years as a starting QB.

Basically Peyton Manning would be Jordan if he had 4-5 rings and Brady would be Jordan if he had 4-5 MVP's and 7-8 1st team all-pros, however as-is, neither guy is Jordan ...

I really think Brady is to the modern NFL what Bill Russell was to the NBA, not what Jordan was.
I hear ya but Jordan didn't win until he had very strong teammates, at which point he won like no other. It is "easier" for a great basketball player to dominate more than a football player in my opinion, it is much more an individual team sport than football. I think Jordan the best athlete ever but he still needed key pieces. Basketball players are also on both sides of the ball, so their ability to impact the game is different. I dunno, this is getting deep and I'm tired. At the end of the day, I do not see how Montana is much ahead of Brady if at all. All of the arguments I hear in favor of Montana are knocks on Brady, which I don't understand. Such as the Pats had great defense, coaching and system. So did the Niners, probably more too. Statically the Patriots defense was not usually the best, I have to look but I think they were usually ranked 8th-15th most great seasons. Also, Brady never had incredible talent at WR and RB. Any year he had above average talent he usually has gone to a SB. I would take him over anyone to run my offense.

Jameis1of1, "Seriously" because Otto played deferent positions ? Then Deion Sanders is the All Time Greatest QB because he threw 2 incomplete passes but was the best overall player because of his defensive play at CB, return potential on Punts as well as KO's, and he was a receiver who was respected as a receiver. Therefore, Sanders dominated so much in other positions that he should be GOAT, NO, it doesn't work that way. Didn't Charles Woodson throw a pass, LOL.
Otto, was a GREAT QB, but had the LUXURY of having a Coaching Staff full of Hall of Famers. To ignore how those teams were prepared would be a slap in the face to Paul Brown.
