Fined? She should be suspended, and released. A hard foul during play is one thing - a pointless, dead-ball assault is another. There should be no place for that in the game. She'd be taking an unpaid vacation if she pulled that same crap during warm-ups before the game, so why is this any different?

Sure seems to me that Clark takes a disproportionate amount of cheap shots, though I admit my experience is limited.

It also sure seems to me that the League would want to protect the player who is literally the best thing to happen to that League since it was founded.

There's a reason the NFL goes overboard protecting quarterbacks. The WNBA would be wise to learn a similar lesson.

Because the WNBA isn’t a real league. Three decades of irrelevance and you expect them to be able to make decisions which require some thought overnight?

Caitlin vs the league is actually a good storyline. But not one the WNBA can run with for many reasons.

I agree and don’t agree with the storyline thing.

I’m all for competitive aggression, sh*t talking, and other on-court stuff.

This clearly crosses a line and should have resulted in a multi game suspension no matter what league you’re in.

The WNBA, if they just care about eyeballs, is incentivized to create as much drama as possible. This drama is so stupid. It’s like WWE level dumb. It’s not really a conversation for here but there’s a political angle to this as well

I didn’t mean promote that kind of behavior. Just that they could take this angle of Caitlin vs everyone else, and play that up. But it also requires she play better and her team not be one of the worst in the league.

This is every game that Draymond plays in the NBA and everyone praises him for his toughness and taking care of his teammates. It's also nothing campared to the shove that Myles Turner put on Derrick White a few games ago which didn't lead to any ejections or suspensions. It's a physical game.

If Draymond did the same thing, he’d be suspended for a long time. “Toughness” isn’t the same thing as playing cheap.

The same play did happen with Turner and White a couple of games ago but it was a much harder shove and then Turner shoved Brown into the stands and there was no ejections, suspensions or fines.
