Using that measurement you'd give the MVP to kawhi over lebron then, right?
I wouldn't do that at all.
I think the MVP goes to lebron, every year, but it's just click bait stuff for the league to make money. There's more curry jerseys now then lebron.

For the record, you'd take Westbrick over Durant?

That's such a vague question. Maybe? It depends on a million other factors

Who would you take for your franchise?

again, incredibly vague question. Do you mean who would I start a franchise with? Honestly it's a toss-up for me they're on the same level pretty much.

I'm saying that calling Durant a superstar but refusing to do the same for WB is ridiculous.

You're incredibly biased against him and nothing will change your mind so it doesn't matter what I would do

Be the best player on your franchise is a start. He's not.
I don't hate westbrick at all, in fact I'd rather take him over almost any pg in the league. He's sporadic, inconsistent and gambles. He's an amazing player, but he doesn't represent a superstar IMO and if my opinion changes, I'll let you know.

We can agree to disagree, but if I didn't believe he was great I wouldn't have put money on the thunder to win the WCF

calling him "westbrick" every single time you type his name is hating on him

Very unfortunate loss for the Warriors considering how bad Westbrook/Durant were last night. Changes the series from what I thought was a 5 game series to a likely 7 game series. I expect the Warriors to win game 2 though.

Don't bother wasting your time---he hates "westbrick" whether he will admit it or not.

Westbrook has clearly been one of the best post season players in the NBA so far this season.

maybe. i guess i hate on lebrick from 3 too or how lebron can't make a jump shot in crunch time. there's also love/hate. honestly i'm glad if he proves me wrong and i want him to prove me wrong. he'll never read it, but i've got to represent the hate that he goes against, otherwise he wouldn't have the motor he has and his motor is THE BEST in the game.

i also would HATE to play with westbrick, but that's just me.

westbrick has played great, that's not in question. lowry has played great too, just like lebron, durant, and curry.

So which one wasn't a superstar, Kobe or Shaq?

This is one of the worst arguements one can make. What you are saying is that if somehow Curry and Lebron were on the same team, then only one of them could be a superstar. That doesn't make sense.

it isn't an all or nothing term, nothing is. if you keep looking one dimension, you're lost. it's a multitude of things that i believe don't make him a superstar.

i wouldnt say Lowry has been all that good really in the playoffs...he was great closing out the Heat...but overall he has been pretty sub-par this postseason so far...worse almost across the board from his reg.season stats...

Lowry: 18.6ppg, 6.7apg, 4.8rpg on 36%fg...28%3pt in 40min per game
he had a few huge games vs MIA...but has disappeared in like half the games so far...

Westbrook: 25.7ppg, 10.9apg, 6.8rpg on 41%fg, 33%3pt in 37min per game...

i would not consider both stat lines "great"...i would consider one of them great...

Yeah I'm pretty surprised some tried to turn this in to a race thing (the media mainly). Did they know that Adams is half Tongan?

PLEASE: stop trying to present facts to the guy---he will continue to spew hate on the best player so far this post season and the forth leading vote getter in this year's MVP race----Westbrook.

edit: Maybe not the best this post-season----top 3

Almost as good as the people reacting to a win over Portland as a reason why GS will take it in 4

stats are what they are. if you watch the game and watch defensive rotations, weak side help (westbrick isn't known for this) and recognize that stats don't make an mvp an mvp. if stats made an mvp cousins, harden and a few others would be in the running that aren't superstars. hardens stats scream mvp, but they don't see the defensive laps or holding the ball that stagnates the offense.

i'll leave this subject be as it seems to be repeating itself. i will predict westbrick keeps putting up godly numbers and then say that he'll continue to be himself...

If anyone here can really accurately predict wins, they wouldn't be here posting on forums. Not sure why people get all heated about that unless you are using blowouts for gambling tips

Just watched the full replay and here are the things I don't like about Westbrook:
- Late in the 1st he makes a layup and ends up on the floor. Jogs back and never gets back on D, Barnes hits a three.
- Late in the 2nd, basically stands still and lets his man (Klay?) drive baseline straight past for an easy layup, like he didn't care at all.
- In the 3rd, goes for steal and leaves Curry wide open for a 3 which he hits.
- In the 4th, consecutive possessions with only him touching the ball and taking a shot. 2nd one was an airball. I would love to know how many times nobody else gets to touch the ball when he's on court, as there was a stat on that for his bad game vs Spurs.
- Late in the 4th, bailed out by refs on a travel not called when they just needed to hold the ball.

If he was a smarter player the Thunder would be favourites to win it all. I really wish he was more.
Yes, his play did have a major impact on the game and with Durant's turnovers and poor shooting they probably would have lost without him. But they were lucky. Looking forward to game 2.

yeesh Bogut is looking like a real liability out there for the Warriors in the first 5 minutes...2 mishandled passes for TOs and an offensive foul

Let's go, RUSS.

That last foul where Festus landed on Adams...ouch.

Bogut needs to stay on the bench. He's clearly not himself.
