He doesn't need too long to get in to "shape" because he's always out of it.

LeBron was 6-10 in the fourth quarter for 16 points. Had 3 assists too. He nailed a 3 with 7 second left to bring them within 1. At that point he was 6-8 in the quarter and 2-3 from 3.

Insane they didn't rely on Luka who was just 2-5 in the quarter, and 1-9 from 3 for the game while turning it over 6 times.

If your takeaway from the game is that the blame should all go on 40 year old LeBron while Luka and Reeves combined for 8-27 shooting with 9 turnovers, then I don't know what to say.

Just as Prizm and most of the wax gets released...maybe it's affordable again.

Does this hurt his chances at a supermax because of the All-NBA requirements? Or is the 65 game rule just for MVP?

Meanwhile... "The NBA has suspended Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis for 25 games for violating the league's anti-drug policy. Portis tested positive for the drug tramadol, a medication used to treat severe pain among adults."

It was pretty clear in last year's playoffs (last time I watched him) that Portis was in some kind of pain, or on something, so that pans out.

they don't have to worry about extending him until summer after next year anyway, by the time he comes back he could definitely get a qualifying DPOY, all-nba, or MVP

but yes the 65 game minimum applies to all end of season awards, not just MVP

A simple mind like this wouldn't realise that if you're going to put the ball in LeBron's hands late you're gonna lose in the long run (and short).

You have Luka Doncic, he is THE guy. They need to get him used to playing with this team.

Just a terrible mindset.

LeBron clangs 2 threes late!! A tale as old as time.

The sooner they get off Bron and spend the money elsewhere the better they'll be.

You have to think longer term than game to game.

Was amazing watching Melo toy with their double/triple teams, then splitting defenders en route to uncontested floaters when LA desperately needed stops.

They're going to have to pray their 2 maestros operate at peak performance because they'll have little margin for error against the top 4 teams in the west.

And like you said, despite the fact Luka 'single handedly' carried them to the finals last year, he also had Kyrie and a lot of unsexy names that did the dirty work on defense. Notably their bigs. No real luxury there now this season.
