Officially no longer worried about Ohtani's ability to pitch moving forward. I think it can be debated what is more valuable...Ohtani's best year being a two way player pitching and hitting or 2024 with just concentrating on hitting and stealing bases.

Ohtani clearly loves pitching and being a two way player. I know he sees himself as a pitcher that hits. And it is amazing seeing him do both. Just going to enjoy watching him the rest of his career and collecting his cards.

What you are saying is you prefer to have him hit/steal vs pitch/hit?

Do you think pitching is taking away from his hitting? It definitely is his stealing

Edit: I too am enjoying watching him, and will continue to collect his cards.

I don't have a preference really. Just want him to be healthy and performing at high level. Whenever he pitches ot just makes me nervous and I don't know why...I guess I am worried about pitching poorly or getting hurt.

To me the bottom line is everything he has done in the past makes him a hobby legend and future HOFer. Everything else going forward is the cherry on top!

Can anyone explain to me what a memorabilia but non memorabilia card is. I thought Panini was bad with their descriptions but this may take the cake. The auction title may be the worst thing about it all.

Non-memorabilia / non-jersey cards are basically sample versions of the actual game used jersey cards; It has been a staple in Japan since Ichiro and Matsui were playing in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). The 1st time Ichiro and Matsui game used jersey/bat cards were inserted in baseball packs in Japan, the odds were so high that it was basically impossible to pull them; these cards gave the common collector a chance to have something similar.

I've always wondered about the memorabilia cards in those sets. So they are game used?

No, non-memorabilia/non-jersey cards do not have any swatch in them;
They just make them look like an actual memorabilia/jersey card.

As far as actual memorabilia/jersey cards being game-used or not, I do not have any idea;
From what I have seen, almost all of the cards from at least the last 10 years do not have any wording on them to specify whether they are game-used, player-worn or just a random swatch.
