School principles can earn upwards of $235,000. I spoke to a teacher about this, she told me they work longer hours and work summers too. I replied back with most jobs in the private sector have long hours and require work in summertime too.

Compared to being a property manager that deals with crazy hours and just crazy things in general.... Hands down take the teaching job (NYC/Long Island). Also, if you are scared about kids and germs, you should see how some people leave their apartments....
I don't know in what area you live, but the only teachers in mine work in select charter schools. Public school teachers make far less than that, work more than 8 hr. days and during summer break take classes just to do their jobs better. Poor you and your apartments. How about you have to deal with kids and parents that have no interest in being part of the social norm.

Default The Pander To Various Groups Tour continues

Trump just lied to Portnoy's face, saying he was booed somewhere he wasn't at.

https://boingboing.net/2020/07/24/on...ng-of-his.html

We can give the President the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to mere advanced debilitating dementia, for those who prefer that to clear evidence of his continuing to be a ridiculous liar.

To connect with the young, go-getting crowd reading Barstool, Trump also pointed to his former pre-Presidential street cred that came from having been name-dropped in something like 79 rap tunes. There was a seemingly wistful look in Donald's eyes as he possibly realized his name once synonymous with "wealth", is now a catch all for "inhuman monster". The look shortly evaporated.

One is a necessary public service provided with tax payer funding.

One isn’t.

Clear enough?

Because Trump wants young kids and teachers to catch covid and he wants his supporters to be kept safe. Is this the sufficient answer you wanted.

I said in my post its NYC and Long Island. And these are public school teachers making great income with great benefits. Guaranteed pay. It really is a great job.

Yes?
No?
Maybe?
It took even you 10 minutes to edit whatever was the matter with it.

Good luck at that meeting Monday night.
(That's the second time I've wished you well including last night.
People may talk.)

Typo. Is that really all you could reply with?

Looks like you and JD are both in the same boat today.

Do we need a bigger boat?
Could you see about chartering that?

Or, one could go with the obvious.
One has a setting of 20-30 people and the other has the potential of 20-30 thousand people involved.

You do realize schools have multiple classrooms, so in common areas and during potential class changes etc., your dealing with more than 20-30 individuals.

And the number of people potentially effected would be far greater then 20-30 thousand, I'm sure the total number of school children and faculty in the State of Florida FAR exceed the RNC projections.

When you can speak or reply relative to the discussion, it’s because you have no thoughts left.

That much was apparent 2-3 posts ago but I gave you a chance.

Care to address my questions relative to the discussion, if not - I accept your terms.

I addressed them completely, just not with what you wanted to hear.

Luckily my wife was able to hunt down the information and got the zoom link.

The options are two days at school and 3 days at hone distance learning or full time distance learning. That’s right. No option for anything more than 2 days per week in school.

The distance learning is a full school day of zoom lessons. The child must be present on zoom all day to get credit. I’ve already sent a question in about what technology they will be providing mu two children since they are now mandating cyber school. There is no way my wife and I will be able to both work full time and monitor 2 kids for 6 hours a day each on Zoom.

This is going to be an unmitigated disaster. Just using google classrooms and assignment dumps there was such a technology barrier for my kids. K-6th grade kids are not competent enough to learn on a computer, especially with teachers with zero background in teaching using technology.

That doesn’t equate to typing out in full sentences, using photo editing software and saving/uploading files.

This is a huge gap between the technology most elementary aged kids know and what is required for distance learning.

There is not a single parent or teacher I know or have talked to that hasn’t had this issue. But go on...

Teachers ultimately decide if we go back or not and a lot seem to be scared to.

I hope enough kids enroll in cyber school that the school districts are forced to open or close for good. And it’s not teachers that are coming up with these plans, it’s school birds and administration. I have 4 neighbors that teach at 4 different districts and my brother teaches at a 5th. None of them have been involved at all in determining how they are going to open. They’ve all been told. Even they think this is going to be a disaster.

I just said you can’t lump all those kids together. That’s all. No one is arguing but you. You’re just arguing with yourself which you seem to like doing. You’d be surprised what some kids can do, even those brighter than your own kids that may be decent with technology.

Also, glad you “manned up” with your ignore list.

He doesn't like being wrong and has a hard time admitting it at times. It's his entitlement issues I guess. We're all human. Something as simple as the bolded and he waved his white flag. But I got off the ignore list for a couple of seconds.

Yes I do realize that.
Do you realize my response was referring to The Heel's post comparing a school setting versus the Republican National Convention?
I'm pretty sure the people attending the convention also have interactions with multiple people involved with their daily lives who could be potentially effected so I don't understand your point.
Of course so do the people at the Walmarts, Targets, and every other store/business that I'm betting you frequent.
Are some people more important than others?
I'd love to see all of you folks so scared of the virus that pick and choose who's lives are more important than others just stop shopping and doing the things we all know you do on a daily basis.

Reading comprehension is not a strong point for you.

You do realize my response was also, your ramble makes absolutely no sense, and I'm not even going to take the time to try and explain how both settings will have multiple people potentially involved.

And who's scared of what?

I've taken a 1/2 dozen plane flights in the last 6 weeks, have you left your neighborhood?
