Me also. Especially with the Yankees bullpen they need tack on runs more often than not. If the Yankees had somebody like Rivera they would have at least 5 more wins this year 75-44 would look a hell of a lot better than 70-49. At least Tampa beat the Orioles 2-1 as their bullpen couldn’t hold the 1-0 lead and the Orioles have a lot of injuries. It’s a wonder they both have 70-49 records.

Looks like Gil will take the mound tonight with no starter being announced on Wednesday's game now.

Dominguez really struggling since his comeback. That stinks. I was hoping he would be an option down the stretch with a hot bat. There is still time. Of more concern is the pen however. We have no lights out arm. I'm wondering if Schmidt comes back in the pen. That could be an answer. Nevertheless, look at Houston. Looks like it will all have to got through Houston again.

Mult people have mentioned moving Gil to the pen to reduce his innings. Although, he walks way too many batters.

I wish I had saved the stats I saw today, but the starting pitching issue is all because Cole came back. Everyone had like a 2.something ERA without Cole and since he's been back, all of our starters are 5.something or worse. Injure Cole.

It'll never happen over Gil or Schmidt, but Cortes should be in the bullpen instead of one of them. He's terrible this year. His Ks are down and he's given up way too many homeruns.

Long read it kind of makes sense but they are still 70-49 and it’s only that low because of poor outings from the bullpen and not where Judge is batting in the lineup.

And where do you play him if they are winning with the lineup as currently situated.

At least that’s one game that they will have a decent pitcher on the mound.

This is the Yankees. He is a veteran and hasn't played well. He will still play over Rice with DJ moving back to 3rd. It's the Yankee way.

So they walk Judge and Soto and then strike out the next 3?

What did Ron Marinaccio do to make Boone angry? He was optioned back to AAA again after coming off the IL even though he appears to be one of our best relievers.

I am resigned to the fact we won’t see Dominguez this year and that’s okay.

Taking Gil out of the rotation to try and shore up the bullpen would hurt more than it helps.

Schmidt when he comes back might be their best option.

Houston is good but not as daunting as in years past.

NO! The lineup finally is starting to make some sense. Random leadoff guy, Soto, Judge, Wells/Stanton alternate at cleanup.

When Trevino comes back they should still bat Wells and DH him when he isn't catching. Rice would be the third catcher.

Its more the idea that they won't let Gil pitch all year as a starter. Assuming that, moving him to the pen is better than shutting him down.

In case you haven't noticed, Wells has been hitting pretty decently behind Judge. I'm sure his production would continue in the 3rd spot.

There's no more confidence in him, since last year

It’s really weird and it makes you wonder what the correlation is. They should’ve stayed the same or gotten better.

Someone's gotta go. You think they should release Rizzo, Judge's bff?

That's sad considering he has the 4th lowest ERA of all the relievers.

Cortes is not someone I would want to see coming out of the bullpen, hell I don’t even want to see him start games anymore. He has become a weakness and not a strength.
