Started 0-13 in 2021 and ended with 38 HR 113 RBI. Cora said he's just not catching up with the fastball yet which makes sense since he basically didn't play in spring training. Also interesting that he hasn't had any conversations with Big Papi about being DH yet but he said he plans to talk to him. This is year 9 for Devers and the only time he hasn't hit is when there was something physically wrong with him. As long as he's healthy he'll hit.

Well he hasn't looked good at either position. He's definitely an offense first player. That's what I've always read in his scouting reports and seems accurate. But he's a good athlete so hopefully he'll get better but he probably needs to stick to one position. Duran was a train wreck in the field and turned himself into a GG finalist last year.

That almost catch in left was insane though, he showed some skill for that one. I have read that as well and gotta say I disagree with what I have seen so far. He looks good at second and well at left I haven't seen him start enough besides tonight.

I love what I've seen from him that the plate so far. He looks very comfortable against MLB pitching. He seems to have a real patient plate approach that reminds me of Casas. He doesn't chase bad pitches and he lets strikes go by if they aren't in his wheelhouse. His swing and power at his size are giving me Mookie vibes.

Kyle Teel is 6-12 2 HR 9 RBI and 2 BB to start the season in AAA. I was surprised he didn't make the Chi Sox out of camp but glad to see him off to a great start

Pivetta 7 one hit innings for the Padres. Former Sox are off to a better start then the current team.

Devers adds 3 more strikeouts to his season and newcomb looks like trash today. Definitely not a happy or fun stretch of 4 games
