In the past watching Ohtani pitch always made me nervous (not entirely sure why) and I am looking forward to his first start (but also nervous).
What I would like to see happen....Ohtani pitch 3 innings and give up zero runs. What I think will probably happen....Othani will pitch 2 innings and give up 2 runs, but hit a game winning HR in the 9th! Anyone on here have any predictions??? Edit: Just read he is only pitching one inning. New prediction 1 inning 1 run!!!

Hi guys, I have a question about a card. If someone can give me some advise I’d appreciate it.
The card is the 2018 Topps Stadium club Ohtani Black and White. According to my calculations and from what I get online there are about 35 of these. 10 are currently graded by PSA of which 4 are PSA 10. There is one PSA10 copy on comc.com and I’d like to make an offer there. What do you guys think this card is worth? I know, it is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay etc… but I want to make the offer, but don’t want to overpay. I have a few Ohtani RCs, but this will be the biggest one in my PC if I get it. Is this card really as scarce as 35 copies? I’m attaching a pic of the card. This is not the black foil one, but the black and white. Thanks for the help. And thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge.

PSA 9s sold in 2023 for about $200. Something tells me they haven't appreciated as well as other cards, and I don't see it happening in the future. If you absolutely love the card and just really want it, I think a PSA 10 would do roughly $800 at auction today. If TrueBlue wants to give his expert opinion, listen to him, but this is just my perspective. |

I've been warming up to Stadium Club stuff. My main gripe on the set has always been that 99% of the autos are streaky, but I like the inserts (power zone, beam team, etc).
For the b/w, it's rare but super obscure like TGCollector mentioned. If it was #'d out of /35, I think that would completely change the value. Alas, it is not and you will always have to explain to someone how rare it is. And as the old adage goes, if you have to explain... Anyway, I would look at peer set cards and the beam team orange /50 is a good example. PSA 9 selling for 800-1K range. Grade being equal, I believe the beam team is more valuable due to the insert's pedigree and being serial #d. By that logic, you're looking at 1.5K max for a PSA 10 b/w. Anything higher and you'd really have to do some mental gymnastics to substantiate. Cool card, but it's more for a SC fanatic or Sho completionist that already has 95% of his/her wants.
