Provided that we don't see some weirdly close result that ends up being challenged ala Bush/Gore in 2000, I don't think Trump will have any interest in wasting his time as a lame duck president.
I feel trump wants to lose as he has done nothing positive throughout the whole covid pandemic and riots. You would think he could have moved a lot faster to stop Minnesota, Seattle, and Portland from becoming Third World War zones. He claims to have gotten rid of Isis but he can’t do nothing to stop antifa which is happening in his own country.

I could see Trump getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from signing Presidential Pardons and Executive Orders that will help out his interests down the line.

Ahhh - the "spin"

Well, NY had 950 positives yesterday

Florida had 10,200 positives yesterday

Florida is going to work on a "plan" for long term care facilities - now

To think that Florida is out of the woods on this is wishful thinking

Cases do not equal deaths. Don't forget that.

Just want to make sure we know where the goalposts are starting at.

Not to mention your Cuomo # is way off.

Way to report the news.

I absolutely know where the goal posts are - I haven't tried to move them once

You are correct - cases don't equal deaths... cases are a lagging indicator

I find it ironic that Florida is now dealing with an issue that - yet again - a GOP Governor could have avoided only if they learned from their peers in other states. Oh, what could have been.......

Your spin is almost as bad as your use of an ellipsis.

Estimates are between 13,000 and 14,000.

NY is the only state the in the country that doesn't count LTC deaths that occur outside the facility. So if a member has to go to the hospital, then passes away, that is NOT a long term care facility death in the eyes of the state.

In the other 49 states, it doesn't matter where you die. But not in NY. Cuomo and the Health Department changed the counting rules in April when it was clear they had a problem on their hands.

Well done, yet again.

"The actual figure is much higher since the state deliberately diluted the numbers by not recording fatalities as being nursing home related if the individual contracted the virus in the nursing home, yet died at the hospital."

That's one way to create space in nursing homes ...

"But after looking at both state and federal data, Bill Hammond of The Empire Center thinks there is reason to believe the death toll is higher.

For starters, state government has acknowledged it is only reporting deaths of resident who die at a nursing home. 2 On Your Side reported in May, that Kaleida hospitals had dozens of nursing home residents who died in its hospitals after they were transferred.

Hammond called that accounting of fatalities “dubious.” More compelling for him was that he discovered a spike in the vacancy rate for nursing home beds in the state.

After hovering around 8 percent for two-plus year, the vacancy rate shot up over 20 percent as the pandemic exploded in the state in April and May.

Based on that data, Hammond says, “In a population of about 100,000 residents, that translates to a decline of about 13,000 residents. The state’s official count of deaths due to coronavirus is 6,200, so that leaves a lot of people unaccounted for.”

Hmm - estimates....

Come on - you have railed that the numbers being reported, overall are too high and are being inflated, cases are being reported as covid that shouldn't be and now you want to use that argument (the very one you railed against) to paint a picture of Cuomo incompetent (I don't disagree) so you can estimate the number of deaths..........

Sweet baby Jesus

Just look above you. 6,800 nursing home patients went missing. Maybe they all took a cruise together; out on the black jack tables right now!

So - you reference MSM (you have railed against them as well) and now you want to say they are 100% accurate and correct?

Until they report on something you don't like and them - MSM = bad

Were the numbers of patients counted as dead?

or does it make you feel better or does it make the narrative that Cuomo is a liar and killer more appealing to people?
