In some of the packs, there were 2 cards whose back were much darker than normal. But not gray. It's not the gray parallel.

In fact, the cards fade from dark to "regular" from top to bottom.

Just trying to figure out what to do with these base cards, or if I've got a super-duper ebay 1/1 situation here.
I got a blaster with some of these. Sold a few. Actually sold a Benny, it was returned, relisted and sold within minutes. $30, I might have undersold, but I am well in the black on my retail break.

Can't wait to get the time dye

Missed out on it the first time, but figured these have to be some sort of oddball error.

Looks like I'm getting a bunch today as several sellers just waited till Monday to ship. No biggie. I'm just excited to get my hands on some of the higher end things I've picked up.

Haha, congrats! It's in the drop box at work, sometimes they pickup twice a day. Either way, it's going out tomorrow.

I had it up for $200 obo the first time. A guy offered $10, and I countered with a few dollars less than you paid this time. I shipped right away the next morning. Of course, two hours later he says he doesn't want it, that it's not really the gray back. I go, wait, you offered $10 for what you thought was a freakin Benny grayback?!?!

My Target was PACKED with '17 Heritage. I think I grabbed 12 blasters and 1 of the $9.95 hanging packs. Wish me luck!

Onto the blasters!
Nice hit on the hanger. Those have been quite dry for me this year

I bought a card on eBay 2/23, a label was created on 2/25, and it was accepted at the post office on 3/2.

This drives me absolutely crazy.......I've seen this happening more an more.

Valid point on handling time, however...Sellers of Heritage, or any product for that matter are hell bent on being one of the first sellers to crack and list on eBay because the early bird gets the worm, yet it's frustrating when they don't apply those same time standards to delivering product to the buyers hands.

My random purchases throughout the year, meaning outside of purchasing through a bulk case breaker, are processed MUCH faster than bulk case breakers. Yet, the bulk case breakers are always the fastest to list on eBay. Just an annoying standard of practice. If you want to be the fastest to list and maximize your revenue from your case break, then at least have the courtesy to do the same for buyers.

If you always ship slow, and you always list slow, then whatevs, I don't care. It just bugs me when the seller gets the price they want because they listed first...but then sit on the cards for 4-5 days before deciding to ship out. If you have the time to be the first group of sellers to list, you have the time to ship out relatively quickly, IMO.
I agree on this^^^^

2017 HHH is ridiculously cheap right now......

#1----not when you have any kind of volume

but not everyone can, and elect not to be TRS, and I think that is fine too
I think we all have been accustomed to getting things quick

just because a seller lists quick, which can be done due to pre-release prep work, does not always mean they can ship as quick, especially if volume high

should they? probably so, as if the first bidders are willing to bid more to get one and get it quicker than probably so, but I know it can't always happen

I don't see how it is a "bad form" to give the seller a negative feedback for all the right reasons, especially after sending him messages asking for clarification on the status.
The guy was pre-selling boxes of Heritage, then prints out the shipping label on 2nd March, but never actually shipped it until 8th March.
I sell stuff on eBay as well, and have full time job, but send stuff out usually on the same day or next day of sales completion, and at least within 2 business days. It's not that hard.
If a seller can't ship out within 2 days, he/she should not be selling on eBay, or should be indicated on the listing that shipments might be delayed with reason, or message should be sent to the buyer to explain.

I'll stop here cause this is a Heritage thread and not a Shipping thread.

everyone has different things going on in their lives, and different volumes
IMO, very unfair to lump every seller in same category, that is why ebay allows sellers to have handling time

I see nothing wrong if they print labels in advance for pre-sales or to pre ahead of time, AS LONG AS their handling time allows for it
who knows, maybe their boxes were delayed; there are often delays on cases due to weather, etc
maybe something came up unexpected
cards and ebay should not be #1 priority in life
and I say this as one who probably does more volume than anyone and ship next day
but I know how big a task that can be, even at much smaller levels

If you feel really strongly about the slow shipping/poor communication, maybe leave neutral feedback, but you are asking for trouble if you neg someone just because of slow shipping.
Spot on.....IMO, it's a little too much to leave a negative for slow shipping if the card arrives safely.

And just to expand on the concept further, bulk case breakers have a lot more variety, can offer better prices, and huge shipping discounts, so it's not a one-way street either. A customer who needs 40 singles to finish a master set can shop with one breaker and save a ton of money. So it's not like we are just rushing to get the early money and not doing a service for our customers.

To be clear though, shipping complaints are few and far between. 99.9% of buyers really don't care from my experience.

yep, exactly, listing is fast, shipping is not always, there are some orders I do that take an hour to get ready due to the number of cards and variety of things bought
and you can never predict how much will sell in one day or get paid for
some buyers take a week or longer to pay, I still ship next day
I have not had shipping complaints and have no defects, etc, so it is very rare
but to hear some folks it sounds like it's a major issue
I'm sure that is frustrating, as a buyer, I too have to wait for cards, but I have to think of it from their end too, life happens

I really have an itch for heritage but just can't afford $1k case. Didn't have the funds when they were on preorder to get them cheaper either. But HHH seems to still have a lot of value and is really cheap. Might go that route.

I just got asked a ? via DM that I think may be good to point out the answer here.
I get asked about taking the best versions of a card and sending them in for grading.

I can say that I only tried grading one, in 2011, it was not for me. Bowman Draft, I opened 70 cases, sent the last 10 in for grading.
I think a lot of folks have said on this board before that is why so many of the first listings from volume case breakers go higher is because they know we all open fast and don't grade, so good cards can be bought.
This is true. I don't personally know of any large volume breakers like myself that grade.
Perhaps I should, especially on all these action rookies, but to be honest, most of us don't have time
When I have 10-20-30+ copies of a card, I don't look at them, at all.
I scan one copy, unless it's something I have 3 or less of or a top auto like Benny.
But we are talking lesser things here. I scan all Heritage autos, but not base topps sticker autos.

We just don't have time to look at them all, I rarely get returns (had 4 last year in almost 1000,000 listings), and I try to catch dinged cards but not always possible when shipping so much or moving fast.

So, to answer the question, no I don't pick cards out to grade, hence I don't have them for sell, but perhaps I should, just need time and someone to look over the cards for me.

In general most sellers are so buy, they don't have time for many things.
People ask me all the time, did you hit any of so-and-so, I really have no clue. I open quick, sort, and go. haha. hard to remember 100 different people's guy they collect. I try but it is all a blur, which is sad. Sure, I remember the top stuff, but the other things, not so much.

......
It may be time to rethink grading though with prices being so much lower than normal on certain things that usually only go up or do better in graded form, especially the solo rc actions
But I have little knowledge in grading these days...no time to study that market...always studying next product while trying to wrap up the next one
This takes up sooooooooooooooooooooo much time. I can to bed at 5:30-6am, get up by 10:30, I sorted for days/weeks straight, get at least 150 emails/PM/DM a day, and ship 1000+ packages each week, the time just is not there, but since I am not dumping all my actions etc so quickly this time, perhaps I should make it a priority
My problem is the extra cost and time involved and I honestly could not tell you if it was a 9 or a 10 or maybe an 8, haha, I would look at them too quickly or not notice something.
