You bring up a very good point. I am actually very happy with my Ohtani collection. If I don't ever add any new cards, I will be fine. It has been a fantastic ride and I don't plan on selling (maybe one day when I am an old man).

At this point I am just looking to be opportunistic...if I can find any deals I will buy. If I can't that is ok too!

That's just the market wising up to pop counts and such. Too many newbies and hype-driven morons in the market back then that have either learned their lesson or moved on to the next hype cycle.

US175s went through the same thing. It takes quite a while for the "found a box of cards in the garage" folks to cycle through. That's why rare always wins out. Those don't get forgotten at grandma's house.

All those hobby newcomers bought into the graded base rc hype machine. Now they have wised up and realized rarity trumps grade. Also the supply of base Gem 10 RCs is ever growing

Rookie Cards* that are included in Factory Sets should be priced accordingly.

if you are in it solely for the money, stick to the numbered paralllels IMO
