Here's my desired 2025 lineup:

Rice/DJ 1B
Chisholm 2B
Volpe SS
Cabrerra/DJ 3B
Soto LF
Dominguez CF
Judge RF
Stanton DH
Wells/Trevino C

Berti/Grisham/Peraza utility

Let Torres walk. Trade Cortes or Schmidt as part of a package for a better starting pitcher. Target high K relievers.

How many yachts would Hal have to sell to sign Soto and Alonso?

Bregman wouldn't be welcome or survive New York. He was part of the Astros cheaters.

I would rather only have 8 guys on the field than have Bregman. Wait, I think we said the same thing.

.251/.311/.411/.722, 14 HR, 53 R, 51 RBI, 104 OPS+ (in the most down season of his career possibly)

or

.182/.270/.252/.522, 2 HR, 19 RBI, 13 R, 49 OPS+

Give me Bregman 8 days a week

I bought one because I buy all of the Yankees Topps Now cards. I was really surprised he got one.

My 2024 Topps All Star Game Yankees team set arrived today. These were only sold at the All Star Game Fan Fest apparently. I really like how they have the MLB logo/ASG/2024 like a Logoman Refractor instead of just the silver All Star Game stamp of recent years. Of course the team set didn't include the cards that had multiple players on them, so I'll have to hunt those down that had Yankees on them.

I like your commitment, I only have one issue with your lineup. Wouldn't hitting Judge at 7 mean he gets less at bats per game?

I believe he just meant that was the roster he wants -- the guys are listed in order of position on the field, and not batting order.

Well the Orioles and Yankees have finally played the same amount of games and thanks to Cleveland winning 10-3 they are both 65-45 after 110 games and now the Yankees get to play the Bluejays at home.

Yes, not a batting order, just the players at each position. I actually forgot Catcher at first which is why they were last.

Sad day for Yankees today as it's the anniversary of Thurman Munson dying.

I remember it like it was yesterday. It was an off day right before a big weekend series with the Orioles. Yankees really needed to sweep that series to get back in the race. I was just a boy but I was mad at Thurman. He recently said he wanted to retire at the end of the year or get traded I think George agreed to trade him to Cleveland at the end of the year. Thurman said he would play a couple more years in Cleveland. I loved Munson but I saw it as a betrayal. It hit the news I believe in the afternoon. Munson was the heart and soul of that team. Great catcher great Yankee.
