Boston's pitching staff was in shambles. If they somehow got by NY, the ALDS wouldn't have been much of a series.

Face it Fried crapped the bed and didn’t expect much from Gil but when they only made it 2-1 with the bases loaded and then the bullpen pulled their usual bad performance it was over. I would like to think the Yankees could make a series out of it but I don’t think even if Rodon wins tomorrow Schlittler can replicate his last performance Toronto is a contact team that doesn’t strike out much. Other than hitting off of the Bluejays bullpen after the game was out of hand the Yankees bats are dead. Also if the Red Sox would’ve closed it out in 2 they would’ve had a better chance.

Have a recruiter interview with Draper Labs tomorrow and then one with the hiring manager on Wed.

Job is hybrid and 77 miles away in Cambridge, MA.

If hired it will be almost 50% more that I was making in 2022 and 25% more than my last job.

While I am confident, I can do the job, Configuration Management Analyst, I wont hold my breath.

T is really having a hard time with the shingles. She’s in a lot of pain. I did some errands for her before work today. Really wish there was something I could do to make the pain not as bad for her

Nope. It's a local restaurant called Mi Pueblo.

FT dowhill waddle sprint - competitors start seated and once a large noisy object goes by them unnoticed, they sprint downhill to try and get in front of it to take a picture

Roadkill hunt - several clans compete to see which clan can gather the most edible roadkill (which has been spread out along busy highway) in 5 minutes

BNUT 10 yard run/walk/crawl/roll - a 10 yard race with some built in safety features. refreshment and aid stations will be placed every two yards, and there is a strict 3 minute time limit. safety workers are on stand by

JZ job hunt - each competitor is assigned random qualifications and then given a book of available jobs. they have 10 minutes to find and apply for as many jobs as possible

finally the big endurance event...competitors will be tough to find for this event. each competitor will be given a list of a typical JD day and must work through the list in order. if anyone completes the list, they win
How many weeks do we get to finish the list? Presumably assjubbles cannot compete as he has people for everything.

My Mom and StepDad are just too much to take. They called me on the way down Sunday and said my Mom's GPS was going in and out. I told them to take exit 7A on I-495 to Rt. 5 SOUTH. It usually takes me about 45 minutes to get from that exit to our home, so after an hour of them not being there, I try calling. 10 minutes later they call back and tell me they are in Pentagon City. They swore they went Rt. 5 south though. Impossible!

I gave them the address of Olive Garden in Fredericksburg and told them to meet us there as I was not going to wait for them to get all of the way to our house and then drive back to Fredericksburg to the restaurant. At least they made it there.

My Mom comes into the restaurant making a scene angry with mt Step Dad. She says when he put our address in, he never put the town, so it chose another place in Virginia with the same address supposedly.

It took the 3 workers 3 1/2 hours to get the solar panels down yesterday. And then they tell me that the mounting brackets are rotten and we'll have to pay for new ones for them to re-install after the roof is complete.

Talking with my middle SD last night, I don't think our solar panels are even working anymore. She told me that people in her neighbor with solar panels pay about $30 a month for electricity from the same company we have. Our bills are $100 - $150 depending on month.

The company that installed them for the last homeowner in 2009 is out of business. You can't read the LCD screen on the inverter and everything is out of warranty. We are thinking of not putting them back on and scrapping them once the roof is done.

FT JR wanted Chipotle for dinner last night on his birthday. It's the first time I've ever had it. The chicken was a little too spicy for my taste. The middle SD and granddaughter came over for dinner.

You know the old saying "if you have nothing nice to say, shut up?" and be careful how big your mouth is as you never know if who you are talking about will hear you.

Mr's. FT came in the house Saturday and told me our neighbor across the street (Tim who looked like an unemployed, homeless person - lerting himself go during the governemtn shutdown I guess) was talking to another neighbor criticizing us for being lazy and letting the yard work go because the white rocks that the previous owner put down on either side of the driveway (they are also in the front flower gardens) have become overgrown with weeds and become non-existent. How he loved those and wanted to do that to his own driveway.

Well, Mrs. FT hated those rocks and wants them gone anyway. I told her she should have yelled that across the street and to mind is own business from now on.

Our roofing materials should arrive today. I guess they won't be able to install tomorrow as it is supposed to rain.

I went to Chipotle with an employee about 20 years ago. He had never been there and asked if it was spicy. I said don’t get the salsa. So he just had steak and sour cream.

As we were eating, he wasn’t saying anything. I look over at him and he was sweating profusely, trying to catch his breath. Just the steak was too hot for him.

Do you eat at a take out restaurant for every meal?
