From an investment perspective, either Prizm or Select (and the safer option would be Prizm)

From a collector perspective, the Elite. There are less than 1000 copies of that card and it's really hard to find a PSA 10, value be damned.

Id pick PSA 9 Prizm...but you can't go wrong with the PSA 10 Select. It might overtake the PSA 9 Prizm in the near future.
I could be wrong, but I agree with you on Select...I see this as taking over Prizm eventually.

Thank you all for the feedback! I’m looking to lock up a quality Giannis soon but still stay in my budget! Would love the Prizm PSA 10 or an auto, but I could handle any of the aforementioned options. Thanks for giving me perspective

I would love to hear opinions - how much would a Select Gold RC bring in today in an auction? No, I don't own one. Would it be North or South of 10k?

I bought 10 Select base a few mos back for 35.00 each....I usually submit to BGS at the Chicago shows, but PSA 10's are valued much higher it seems than BGS 9.5's...that being said, what are the prices to submit to PSA versus BGS.

lol how many Selects do you own? the pumping in this thread is ridiculous. buy the Prizm, it is the benchmark and will always retain the best value

People should buy what they like.

Or if they’re looking to make money, they should buy what provides the best potential return. Prizm Silvers were unaffordable for most a few months ago. But Select Silvers were under $750. It was great!

No pumping here....I like the Select much better. I own the same amount of Prizm as I do Select.....and to date I haven't sold not one single Giannis card as all are for my PC. Will I ever sell any? Maybe, but no current plans to do so. Most of my collection will be passed down to my children....but it's nice to know that I have cards that have appreciated in value and I can sell some off if times take a turn for the worse financially.

Why does it matter to you? That is the question. Of course Prizm will always be good, but what's wrong with people looking for cheaper alternatives? The alternatives could potentially produce a better % return for the price point vs the Prizm.

damn you guys got super defensive. which makes one think that you have some type of agenda. the guy was asking for advice, and if he doesn't know what he's doing, the clear answer should be prizm. i'm happy for you that the Select purchases you made have done well, but no need to tell him the "wrong" answer just to further pump. I have a handful of both Prizm and Select so I will benefit either way, just trying to give "correct" (safe) advice to those who are new / less knowledgeable

Nah. If you're a pure collector and simply want the best brand, buy the Prizm PSA 9. If you're trying to make money, buy the Select PSA 10. I would put money on the Select PSA 10 getting to $540 before the Prizm PSA 9 gets to $700.

I never said it would over take Prizm. Just PSA 10 Select might sell for more than a PSA 9 Prizm. PSA 10 Select ain't touching PSA 10 Prizm.... EVER!!

a Crusade Gold BGS 9.5 sold for $4k today on best offer, so I would guess select would come out right below $10k but then again if two people have been sitting waiting on one for a while, it could obviously eclipse that.

I own a PSA 10 Select Gold RC /10 and have turned down an offer much higher than $10k. There are only 2 PSA 10's.

Personally don't like the Red Jersey on the Select, as well as there being 3 different cards in the non-auto set. Classic green and just one RC to choose from sells me on the Prizm. Both are great choices though, but you better buy now!

Yeah... After the All Star Break... expect his stuff to take off. All basketball to be honest.

I’m surprised the Select Black 1/1 hasn’t sold yet.

Very nice card!!!!
I don't have a Select silver, but I do have the Select purple of this card /99 in a BGS 9.5.
Also own the purple Draft Selections which is a BGS 10.
I love the fact that the purples are numbered and look great in person. I should get a silver, but they've gone up soooo much in price.

I've only got two Giannis rookie year cards and they're both Prizm:

I'm definitely thinking of picking up a few more lower end before the end of the season. Maybe a hoops rookie or two.
