FT Jr's team won 12 - 1 last night. Now for FT JR's game.

1st at bat, he went to bunt on the 1st pitch and didn't pull back in time for a called strike offering at the pitch. He then took 2 balls. I noticed he finally followed what the coach weas saying for his stance so he can speed his bat up. Instead of having his bat horizontal over his shoulders, his bat was vertical. He fouled off the next three pitches including a nice rope over the third baseman's head that went foul. The next pitch, he roped a single over the second baseman's head. He then stole second and third base. Unfortunately, he failed to slide trying to go home on a past ball and was tagged out.

His second at bat, he used the same stance. He took the count 3-2 with his strikes coming on foul balls before drilling a single up the middle. He stole second base/ He then stole third base and on the overthrow into left field, scored easily.

So he went 2-2 with 2 singles, 4 stolen bases, and a run scored. He was so happy. He also played center field and 1 inning of second base. The last inning he was in center field and there was an overthrow of first by the second baseman. The kid took off for second and the shortstop failed to cover second base, but out of centerfield, FT JR was there for the tag and the out.

My 99 year old grandpa fell last Friday or Saturday at his assisted living home. Nobody checked on him until he missed Monday morning coffee with my uncle. If my uncle wouldn’t have checked at that point, he probably would have died on the floor.

One of my biggest fears about assisted living facilities.

Do you know if they have a fall detection system?

Our government employees are still here as they have not yet received their furlough paperwork. A military guy is in charge of my team while they are out as our lead is not mission essential. Unfortunately, his boss is not mission essential and we are getting stuck with a government employee I have often gotten into it with because he always try's and gets us to do work that is not ours and he always asks us to drop everything to fix female's computers.

Not sure. Probably someone listening for a thud.

My aunt is suing them.

Her daughter, my cousin, is a lawyer as is her husband.

They live in Ohio.

He still drives, golfs, goes to the Legion. So it’s not like he was a shut in that nobody ever saw.

That is what we are worried about with my dad. He just turned 81 and has fallen some. After my PT tomorrow, I am taking my mom to the airport so she can go visit her sisters in the Chicago area. She will be gone 2 weeks. My sister and I will be checking in on my dad every day and get him out several times. He knows to keep his phone on him at all times, even when going to the bathroom, in case he falls. Whether he will or not is another matter. He usually uses a cane but sometimes won't around the house.

My other grandpa died in the same place just down the hallway. He had a stroke at 97 probably 5 years ago.

People get comfortable in their own homes and don’t realize the dangers.

My new employee calls me today and tells me he is going to be late because he has to be in court at 9:30 and he has to appear in person. We pull up the DC court cases online and find his case. He got pulled over July 7th and charged with drinking while intoxicated and having an open container in the car. Just as we were printing that out, my boss came in so I told her and she is going to call his company and our security person and take care of it.

Bat horizontal with his shoulders?

That wasn’t a dead giveaway a long time ago?

FT didn’t correct it, Jr likes to act like major league players.
