I told the flower place to deliver my wife’s anniversary bouquet to her work after 9:00 am but I hope it’s not super late when she’s already done.

When my wife worked in the city, I would occasionally send flowers from 1-800 Flowers to her.

There was one time she was going to be off Friday and I ordered the flowers for her to be delivered on Thursday (I ordered them prior to Thursday).

She would normally text me a "thank you" when she received them.

I never received a "thank you" text by the end of her shift.

Then I got a delivery notification around 6:00-7:00 PM that indicated they left the flowers with the front desk. No one was at the front desk at that time, my wife was gone, and she wouldn't be back until Monday.

I told them I wanted a refund and haven't bought flowers from 1-800 Flowers since.

Grocery store flowers are cheaper AND last longer, anyway.

So my boss backed down and is not sacking our subcontract employee. She forwarded me the e-mail today that is going to his company. Basically states that his continued absence is unacceptable as is his failure to inform people every time he is going to be out. Asked to re-evaluate if he even wants to continue working here.

I wish we could move to the new office tomorrow that way if he comes in on Monday, he'd be confused.
