Began the process of completing my 2018 HHN Master Set last night

HOLY SMOKES anyone know why his deckle edge is 5-10x more $$ than any of this other RC inserts?

Bigger checklist on that set compared to other insert sets and those weren't exactly inserted in abundance.

Even with Ohtani starting off pretty slow for his standards the past few years, it looks like he could potentially have another 40/40 year.

How high must people's expectations of you be that you could post a 40/40 season and a lot of people would go "Oh.....ok, not bad I guess". Lol

A 40/40 season while pitching ~100 innings of baseball would be quite the accomplishment in its own right.

It's just the new stolen base era we are in. SBs are easier so we are going to see the HR/SB milestones get diminished as more of them happen.

I'm just glad Ohtani is finally back in the top 30 for FWAR. Still a longgggg season to go.

i hear this a lot, but dont see many players topping 40 SBs a year.

Correct. Much harder to get on base in today's game compared to the 1980s when base stealing was more prevalent. But if you can get on base it is certainly easier to steal than before the new rules.

Well it will take time for teams to draft and adjust. The year the new rules went into place it went from 1 player in 2022 to 6 in 2023. It's only been around 2 years and each year we've seen a new SB/HR milestone

pitch clock has made stealing bases way easier imo

No Sho day doesn't mean no Sho porn. Bit the bullet and added the auto to get these to pop 1 status. I know, auto grades are dumb to many. I saw it as a reversible decision since you can get DNA cert removed for the price of a reslab.

Both are incredible cards but that red ink is next-level incredible to me. Congrats on the pop 1 status!
