It would have to take something truly extraordinary for anybody’s card prices to increase much in this environment. I think the best you can hope for is staying flat, which would be a victory in and of itself. Perhaps I am way too pessimistic though…

Mahomes, Burrow, and Allen are the only elite QBs in the league right now. A lot of mediocre play, even from the future HOF QBs.

Not putting Joe Burrow in the same category.

Look who he's carved up this year: Falcons, Saints, Jets.

Meanwhile, he's looked pedestrian vs the Steelers, Ravens, and Cowboys.

I agree, but he is a solid #3 right now. Mahomes and Allen are the clear top tier QBs and it is not close. You can make the case Geno Smith is #4. That is how big the drop off is.

When the buffoons get upset at Patty picks and the comments about blaming receivers...I give you 1:50:

Indeed, he did.

And according to ESPN, Mahomes was leading the NFL with a QBR of 76.8.

That'll rise a bit once today's game gets figured in

So both turnovers today were on Skyy.

Impressive.

I could listen to Andy Reid talk all day. Such a likable guy.

Also hate to say it but Sky Moore looking like a bust. With the amount of time Patty spent with him in the off season and all the rave reviews he was getting, he has done absolutely nothing. If you can't contribute with Patty as your QB I don't know what else to say. He better figure something out real fast because I don't think the Chiefs will hesitate to move on from him (as they should). And before you say it's only been 7 games, there's lots of RC wide receivers who contribute right away and have the "it" factor. He doesn't seem to have it.

Too early to totally right him off, but it's not a good look early.

That being said, the KC offense is notoriously difficult for WRs to learn, so there's still some hope that he just doesn't 'get it' yet and will come around eventually.

Way too early to throw dirt on Skyy Moore.

This is also an absurdity:

^^^^

IMO its about depth at the position at this point. Tyreek was basically a PR his rookie year and was minimally involved in the offense (he clearly did MUCH better than Sky at the position)

I absolutely believe that Sky Moore will have a "breakout" game for him at some point. Just think back to Mecole - several people (myself included) have been over this dude for a while now.

I saw that the Chiefs have the most big chunk plays (25+ yard plays) in the NFL this season with 22 which is up 8 from last year at the same point. Interesting stuff considering they lost Tyreke and how Mahomes only throws short yard TDs.

It looked like something clicked with Juju and MVS last week - maybe it was just the 9ers defense but I'm optimistic going into the bye.

Didn't you see the reason why? There was a clear explanation. Kyler Murray would be impressed.

At a very high level, much of it is because teams are taking a few more risks against the Chiefs and playing more man that last year.

It's quite funny, actually.
-2 years ago teams get shredded when they try to play man or blitz Mahomes

-Last year more teams play 2 high safeties to take away the big play, and it limits Mahomes effectiveness somewhat.

-Start of this season, Mahomes and the Chiefs figure out how to be effective against 2 high safeties, start shredding them again

-Teams move away from 2 high safeties and play more man, Mahomes and the Chiefs start shredding them again.

It's a constant game of chess and I love watching it upfold.

Not on the topic of Patty but more the Chiefs - any of you avid Chiefs watchers have an opinion on Pacheco or what the staff is planning for him? There was that Rapaport tweet early Sunday morning stating Pacheco is now the starter and it should be a timeshare with CEH with McKinnon sprinkled in. That wasn't really reflected vs the 49ers until it turned into a blowout. Should we anticipate seeing more Pacheco after the bye..?

I just see running back by committee for the near future as long as all 3 guys are healthy.

McKinnon is the best pass blocker and pass catcher of the bunch. Doesn't have the durability for 20 touches a game.

Pacheco has the upside to be the best runner of the group, but is still learning.

CEH has Reid's trust to operate the basics of the offense, but it's pretty clear at this point that he lacks a few things, like explosiveness and tackle-breaking ability.

Pacheco still needs to improve the separate himself, which is possible as time goes on.
