Happy to say I randomly got an email today from Panini, notifying me that they're sending a replacement Luka auto, for a 2020 Obsidian redemption I've had for open for approximately 2 years. The replacement is a 2022-23 Spectra Colorgraphs, which still has an open redemption period, so I'm pretty sure they're kicking the redemption can for this card down the road and hoping they don't get the full allotment request. What was interesting is that they told me a few times they are under strict rule that no Luka auto replacements can be had. Not sure whats going on but I'm happy I dont have to settle for sparkle packs or a black/white box repack

What do you value your initial redemption card at, and the replacement?

FWIW I am waiting on a 2022-23 Panini Chronicles Luminance Ink Autographs Purple /49 Luka card, only from a month or two ago though, am I going to be waiting two years??

I think both cards are close enough, somewhere in the range of $700-1k at current value.

I hope you don't have to wait as long as I did, I pretty much wrote it off but randomly called a few weeks ago and they said they'd try and escalate it. From what I understand, Luka is really hit or miss in signing redemptions.

3 guys taking 72% of your shots and you're down by 20 to a good team.

Curious how that works in the playoffs.

Why do the Mavs do this? They really think 3 people can take down a full squad of like 5 guys? You have to get the "others" involved if you're gonna win in the playoffs. Mavs don't like that tho

They only have 3 NBA starter level players on the team. Only a moron would continue to type the same shtick over and over. Are the Mavs front office supposed to read your post and go "wow, this pleb is right".

They are severely outmatched night in and out. Especially to the C's.

Moving the ball is not gonna help them. Kyrie and Luka are all they've got. And Kyrie only plays half the time.

Well... that's not true.

Good teams get guys ready for the playoffs. They have a guy they can rely on for clutch shots. Another who can hit 3s. During the season you work with those players and give them chances throughout the season to work on those areas.

The Mavs just enjoy Iso ball too much and don't want to grow the other players into a team. That way the fans can blame everybody but Luka for the team losing. Remember when Mavs fans on here thought the Mavs would be ok without Jalen Brunson? Now they wish Brunson was still on the team. That's because the Knicks allowed him to grow... something the Mavs don't like to do... that would take the publicity away from Luka. Very similar to the Knicks during the Melo years.

We're approaching RW0 territory with Luka and the Mavs are more than happy to accommodate it.

A ball-dominating player more interested in playing one-on-one basketball doesn't work, not sure how much more evidence the Mavs need. They couldn't even make the play-in last year, though they'll most likely sneak in this year, but to what end?

What hand? I've written in this thread for years that Luka is a phenomenal basketball player who is trending down the "Harden/Russell Westbrook" path. I'm yet to be proven wrong.

The, "he's only twenty-(insert number)" is getting worn-out. He needs to change the way he plays the game. He had an unbelievable stat line last night - a 37-point triple-double.....and they lost by 28. And stop with the "his team only has 'x-number' of NBA quality players." Jalen Brunson, who he had the most success with, is playing with a bunch of roster cast-offs and has the Knicks in the 4-spot in the East with a record equal to the Mavs.

Julius Randle is an all star level player who's been hurt along with OG..so far with just Brunson they are 3-7 in their last 10 games. Brunson is great, yes the Mavs made a HUGE mistake not keeping him, but they don't seem to be winning much with just Brunson. It also shows that maybe the eastern conference isn't as tough of a conference as the West if they have identical records yet the Mavs sit at 7th and Knicks 4th.

My thoughts as well. I know the way they play isn't winning basketball, but Luka doesn't have much option right now. He's amazing... his team is not good.
