Confused by your first sentence.

Sounds like a BGS 9.5 card with three 9.5 subgrades and a 10.0 subgrade...and it comes back as a PSA 9...yikes...that's an easy $200 for PSA.

Dude. I know. I know for a fact these Zions are pristine. I’m not a hopeful delusional cry baby, sometimes. But I swear. I paid the premium price without a subscription or membership(which will prolly hurt me because to them that means I’m not a big baller. Perfectly selected the best I could find over 3 months and they from what you guys are saying are going to reject them as 10’s no matter how perfect they are.

Yes sorry guys. I’m pissed but it is what it is. I sent this Zion into psa last week. Was delivered and inputted Tuesday night. Graded yesterday and today went thru final QC today and shipped.

Very disappointed as even though it was my first time submitting to psa, I thought for sure it was going to be an easy cross. It is what it is. I learned my 245 dollar lesson. Good news is even after I send back to bgs and hope it comes back the same I’ll still be up on the card. But I will likely not be using psa again as this one stings.

Just do a minimum grade requirement next time, no matter how sure you are...even if you are 1000% sure!

This way, you still get back your card (the same way). You are out $245 either way, but at least you will still get back a BGS Gem Mint card!

Is this a common issue with psa? Cards coming back worse than when they receive?

It's common for all grading companies. BGS 9.5 does not equal PSA 10...no matter what the subgrades say.

So, what I do is just play it safe and ask for minimum grade requirement. If it crosses to a 10...great! If not, I still get my card back the same way I sent it.

So anytime you do minimum if it doesn't hit that grade you select, they return it in the same fashion?
In this case, back in the case BGS placed it in with his original scoring? If so, good to know.

Yes. Just make sure to CLEARLY put a stickie, note, whatever...to NOT CRACK unless the minimum grade is met. They will honor your request.

If you do an online submission you have to pick a minimum grade for a crossover, they won’t crack it unless it meets or exceeds the grade you pick.

A glimmer of hope. I just had another bulk pop. I got 82/100 gems this time. I don't know what is going on over there. 23/100 on one, and the next gets 82/100. I got 98/103 from the one before those 2. Is it new graders? A grader who's wife just cheated on them? There is no way there should be that much of a variance.

It could be new guys following the "rules" strictly. It's the old guys that are pretty flexible about what's gem and what's not. Those are the guys you hope get your cards!

Yeah I have a 7 card order getting graded now. Really hope I don't get burned.

It's the million dollar question, but they do it. BGS does it at shows. I've had a few BGS and PSA cards get bumped that way.

My 15 card voucher shipped 1/2, received 1/22 is now in QA2. Hopefully those pop today. My first 102 card bulk was shipped a few weeks ago and is marked received today. Hopefully get lucky popping those early. I have about 1500 more to send but need to sell some to pay for additional orders.

Update: Pop on my voucher sub. Really thought the Thomas was gem otherwise no complaints aside from not realizing the Fitz was a reprint.

Went back a few pages, didn't see an answer, don't have time to go back all 113

My most recent bulk hit assembly mid last week, got the "Review" email today. I reported 2 label errors.

What has been y'alls experience in how long it takes to see reported errors get corrected and the train getting back on track to completion?
