There are no second tier step up players on this team. It’s pretty pathetic that Judge and Soto are the only ones contributing to the offense right now and they can’t overcome 6 run outbursts by the other team.

It’s no longer about catching the Orioles it’s trying to play good enough to make a wildcard spot.

This is what management is probably thinking. Sneak into the playoffs and magically start playing like a championship team. They're fooling themselves.

Yankees are the worst team in baseball right now, and I predict they will end up last in the AL east. Don't let the occasional win fool you.

So sell Soto? It has to be considered. They really have been that bad.

Yea it will be another quick exit unless some of the guys that are injured now come back and produce. I don’t see it happening but it’s nice to have delusional thoughts every once in awhile.

9 home runs to the Rays. Without Yandy. The RAYS.

He was supposed to be their catcher of the future, looks like they will have to keep looking.

A backup catcher hitting cleanup. A minor leaguer leading off. 2-3 more minor league level bats to round out the order. If Judge or Soto were to go down to injury you'd be looking at one of the 4-5 worst teams in MLB.

Agreed but it doesn’t have to be that way. What geniuses in analytics and managerial level decide to make that batting order. Move Soto and Judge to 1 and 2 Verdugo 3rd dh 4th whether it be a healthy Stanton or somebody else Gleyber 5th Volpe 6th Rice 7th Wells 8th and Cabrera or Lemahieu 9th. That leaves Grisham on the bench jahmai jones on the bench and trevino on the bench. The lineup and order they are using now certainly isn’t providing much offense right now.

You can live with wells as long as the other guys are hitting. You can't survive if you get nothing from Gleyber, Volpe, Verdugo, Rizzo, etc

True but somebody has to start hitting besides Judge and Soto. Verdugo is 0 for his last I lost count i think 16. Lemahieu is even worse with no hard contact at all. Rizzo has been out for awhile but yes he was sucking when he was playing. Rice has shown flashes but he isn’t ready yet. You can blame Cashman for not properly stocking the team and you can blame Boone for not managing the players he has properly but most of all you can blame the players who aren’t coming through in crucial situations.

What strikes me as funny is that after April we haven’t heard anything about Judges foot.

You obviously haven't watched a Blue Jays game.

I mean, it worked for crappy teams like Texas, the Phillies, and the Diamondbacks recently. The Division winner means nothing anymore thanks to Manfred.
