Damn, BGS is already behind TAG and Red Rocket Grading?!

Hopefully that means more discounted BGS slabs for us!

I'm sure we all agree that it's easier to "overspend" on the former than latter.
sure, but its all relative. if ones hobby budget allows, dont let it get in the way

remember the crap that Nat caught when he paid 300K for the authentic MJ Green PMG?

maybe for thick cards, but other than that whos using BGS?

i guess if you want to roll for a Black Label it may be worth a shot

You're right.

And the vast majority of us are nowhere close (financially) to Nat, we're poors who complain about marked up ($20 => $25) blaster boxes lol.

This is an Ohtani thread after all, so just look up any Ohtani auto card in the BGS pop report vs. the SGC pop report. BGS is probably 25-50:1 for any given card.

Just for one example, Ohtani 2018 Bowman Chrome auto is 204-16 BGS-SGC

Yeah, BGS high end is crushing SGC submissions.

yea, i wouldnt cross it to SGC. PSA all day.

not that theres anything wrong with SGC, im just not a fan.
Their slabs are just as bulky and bad as BGS's are.
They have a slight edge visually because they dont use baggies.

The BGS baggies are especially cloudy. Just such an eye sore

The way the slabs break when you open them, I would call BGS a biscuit and SGC a saltine cracker.

To continue this, I would classify CSG as a wafer cookie. Waiting on PSA results for this and one other card.

+1 to the wafer. Some crumbs but a pretty clean break. One of the better slab plastics.

Vintage stock so underrated!

Grab yourself a few SGC 7s to gnaw on

8 looks like a fair grade. I am always against slabbing specifically vintage stock cards just because the texture is the coolest part of the card.

An 8 is absolutely a fair grade! I just want it in a PSA slab. This card has zero chance at anything above an 8.

Highest grade is a 9. Absolutely no shame with an 8.

With an 8 I'd be doing jumping jacks. Expect this card to grade 6-7.

Not card related, but just got my new pair of Ohtani 1 New Balance shoes. These things look and feel great on feet.

For sure. Not my first vintage stock. I'd rather have a girl I'm into (PSA) tell me the truth, than have an ugly girl (CSG) lie to me.
