They have had this pitcher on the ropes both innings to begin the game and allowed him to get out of it both times.

It's laughable how bad this team has become. Bases loaded with less then 2 outs in both innings and can't plate 1 run.

Gleyber flying out on the first pitch (with a man on third base and less than two outs) after the previous batter walked.

With Judge basically the only major threat other than Soto in the lineup on deck you Don’t swing at 3-0

Especially when it wasn't a good pitch to swing at. Yes, it was a strike, but it was inside on the plate and low; automatic ground ball.

Agreed at least if it’s a pitch you can put in the air it takes away most of the chance of an inning ending double play.

IMO if you are a good hitter, you should only be swinging 3 - 0 like that if the pitch is down the middle of the plate and middle or up in height.
