That's "Pre-Traumatic Stress Disorder" because, ultimately, Art is coming for us all.

Damien Leone, the director, no doubt got a lot of bang for the buck by being his own makeup FX guy. He did the first one for $25k, the sequel for $300k.
He has something like 4 million for part 3, which will get a wide theatrical release, due (now, very tentatively) next fall. Leone told Variety, that Part 3 will “shift back a bit to the tone of Part 1, which I felt was a little more simplistic and old school, gritty slasher. I want this one to go back in that direction, and I want this to be the scariest one of the trilogy. This one will actually have a little bit more of an evil overtone to it, so this is going to be hopefully the scariest and the darkest. I want it to feel as if the audience coming into this one isn’t as comfortable with Art the Clown as they feel they are now. I want to see if I can make them really scared of him again.”

YES!!!!!! Oh my God, ever since I saw that scene I'll be doing mundane tasks around the house and it'll pop in my head. Absolutely brutal.
Can't go on without mentioning the hacksaw scene from the first movie. That's another brain burner. Quote:

It's been mentioned here before, but there's a Halloween-themed anthology movie called "All Hallows Eve" streaming free on Tubi featuring an early Art the Clown appearance.

Great movie. Very different tone then the terrifier movies with less gore and more leaning on the horror aspect

Watched all the remakes of "I spit on your grave".
Not bad at all for remakes

Watched Scream 6 last night, pretty decent.
But I'm a massive fan of the series and I have a crush on Ortega, so I could be subjective. Nevertheless, it seems like they didn't take a s**t with the franchise, like in other cases.

I watched some upcoming trailers on Youtube and a few stood out to me. "Cobweb", "The Last Voyage of the Demeter", and "A Haunting in Venice" really look interesting.

Trailer for the new exorcist has released. Not bad imo. Sounds like it wasn’t received to well at an early screening but I’m a sucker for these movies.

Saw the trailer today before "Oppenheimer".
It looked pretty creepy. The novelty of this one is that it's two possessed girls, not just the one. Nice to see the great Ellen Burstyn is back for it. (They showed a photo of Linda Blair in it, but I'm not sure if she's in the new movie. It's probably best not to know, so I'll seek no further info, in hopes of avoiding "spoilers".) I don't think the original can be matched, but the genre it created can still pack a punch when well executed. The two season TV series was pretty scary. It originally aired 2016/17 on Fox. and is on Hulu for those who want to see it. While we are all likely jaded to various degrees by the myriad of uncensored horror offerings, this series can boast delivering what are surely some of the creepiest scenes ever shown on regular broadcast television.

I agree. you cant and shouldnt try. they should attempt to push along the narrative to new storylines while keeping the same atmosphere.
there are so many bone-chilling scenes in the original. I hope we get the same from the new film |

Possession (1981) was certainly something.

I just feel like the two lead actors could've, you know, tried harder.
![]() This was almost like a "lost movie" for a long time. I'm glad people are getting to see it now. It's loaded with some top-shelf WTF.

I had a copy when I used to sell OOP DVDs, but never got around to watching it before it sold. I finally got around to watching it the other night.

Sorry, my taste in horror films probably won't align with most in this thread. I'm not even sure if some of my favorite "horror" films are even considered horror. Out of curiosity I checked my Letterboxd "liked" list and selected the genre tag "horror". I've liked more horror films than this, but I use the "liked" button to denote ones I particularly enjoyed some aspect of or connected with. Here they are in chronological order:
Angst Funny Games (original) Audition Versus (More goofy than horror) Brotherhood of the Wolf (doesn't really seem like horror) Dawn of the Dead Remake Shaun of the Dead (not horror) Calvaire Funny Games Remake Let the Right One In Martyrs Thirst Antichrist Take Shelter (another that doesn't really seem like horror) Kill List A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night What We Do in the Shadows (definitely not horror) The Witch Mother (debatable) One Cut of the Dead (not really horror) Climax Titane Then there's stuff that's not tagged under the horror genre that I'd probably consider horror like Wake in Fright, The Hunt, Border, See the Sea, Killing of a Sacred Deer, Jesus Camp, etc. I did enjoy the French New Extreme stuff, I didn't enjoy anything I saw from the Saw series or films like Insidious. According to Lettrboxd I've only watched 251 "horror" films, so the genre as a whole isn't my fav and doesn't represent a large percentage of my total films. Just noticed Beau is Afraid isn't considered horror, seemed like a horror movie to me. Sorry for the rambling post, just trying to explain why my opinion on horror films should probably be taken with a grain of salt.
