The furnance saga continues. I set up 4 quotes for this week. 2 from larger companies and 2 independently owned. The first independently owned was who told us the furnance was fine. Our original oil company also gave us a quote on a new finance last week. I emailed the oil company and said we were going to go with a heat pump. They get back to me and send another quote with a heat pump included. It would be a dual unit. They called me today to see if I got the email. I call back and let them know we will be going with another company. He asked why. I explained what happened when the tech came out. He asked if he turned my furnance off. I said that he did. I am now wondering if the tech wasn't truthful with the company. Maybe I am reading too much into things.

I was able to spend time with my little brother that I don't get to see often this evening. It was last minute but still very nice. When he was deployed to Afghanistan someone called me and pretended to be him. I always suspected it was someone from this site who found my number online.

We ha e 4 options at this point:

Switch companies and get a tune up/cleaning done. The first guy that came our never finished because as soon as he found "the crack" he packed up and left. Roll with the furnace we have now. 1 indepent and 1 large company both told us these things just keep going. I would like to have a new air purifier added as well.

Add a heat pump to the current model. It would save us money on oil. We would use about 2/3 less a year.

Start fresh and get a heat pump in the attic with all new duct work.

Get a new oil furnace that is more energy efficient than what we currently have. This was suggested to us because we have a full tank of oil.

My son had his wires put back on yesterday at the orthodontist and no one hollered at me for his teeth.

He goes back the end of next month to get them adjusted.

They ended up having practice last night even though it started raining right before it started and continued through the entire practice. They did end it early at 7:40.

I am leaving for the show in Clearwater at around 10. I've spent the majority of the last 2 weeks going through my back stock of baseball that I haven't gone through in well over a year. I now have a good amount of $1, $2 and $5 ready to go when I need them. I am now down to about 18 rows of baseball back stock. Basketball is next. I have about 35 rows of that to go through. About half is stuff I have picked up in the last 18-24 months. The rest is stuff I have had laying around for longer than that. I want to have that stuff done in the next 3-4 weeks.

I can't believe I'm saying this but BNut, be safe in your travels.

Went down to the beach for a while. It’s just down the street. Had pizza for lunch, so I grabbed McDonald’s while I was out just now. Forgot the tv doesn’t work right so I’m stuck watching whatever movies they have here. Ice Age it is for now
