Interesting stats about PCA

He has a 45% chase rate with only 56.2% contact made outside the zone

However he also swings at 78.6% of pitches in the zone and makes contact with 83.4% of them, so when people pitch to him in the zone he usually swings and connects

Makes you wonder why teams aren't just pitching away from the zone to him but maybe it's not that simple

Not sure if there is a hard stat on it, but I want to say 1/4 of his HR have been pitches outside the zone. He has crushed some balls that weren't strikes. It was good to see him get a walk today though.

I picked up a couple of autos on ebay recently, but man, seems like prices have jumped in the last few weeks.

What is considered his rookie year? 2024? so many cards out there from usa baseball, leaf, panini before then.

I got a little over zealous and made an offer on 2023 panini immaculate jersey auto #/99 (BIN was $180 and I offered $150)...then checked recent sales and think I overpaid a little bit, but hopefully, his stuff keeps going up...

2024 is his RC logo year. I would focus on licensed products from that year.

This is what I am thinking as well. Saw a couple of 2023 Panini/Donruss Unleashed insert variations at a card show today. Cool looking card, but just couldn't get myself to buy them.

Some people like them, and I like people collecting what they like! They’re just not for me, and wouldn’t recommend them for anyone looking to put together a little PCA stash for the future.

Also saw a white variation of the 2024 Heritage issue. That was sharp. Didn't see an asking price but wish I had at least asked.

With Panini, I'll consider buying if (1) the card is cool, (2) it's numbered <50, and (3) the price is pennies on the dollar.
