I'd have to think that they'll trade for a starter or two.

Guess Blake shook hands a little too hard.
60 day injured list for Treinen (and Kopech, too).

LOLZ, Atlanta knows they can't win, so they're using their weather machine.
Typical.

Pretty amazing that 6 through 9 in the LA lineup went 0-16 with 8k's and the Dodgers still racked up 10 runs. Muncy did get 2 walks and Conforto, a single RBI from that group. Dodgers have scored 63 runs in the 7 games since Skenes shut them out. Pitching staff has given up 25 runs total in those same 7 games.
That will get it done. All too easy. Congrats to Sasaki on his first MLB win. Speaking of firsts, Hyeseong Kim will likely make his MLB on Sunday.

Geeeez. We just can't seem to put a solid rotation together. Whether it's injuries or just guys that are mostly ineffective, a solid 4 guys, let alone 5 guys, still evades us. Looks like we'll be buyers again this season in regard to starting pitching.

Not with those two batters at the plate. I knew we were done when we couldn't pinch hit for either of those guys. No way they were doing anything against the closer. Both those guys gotta go. For the love of God, bring up Rushing and Freeland!

Rojas had homered in his previous at-bat, so a sac fly wasn't out of the question. They had CT3 on the bench remaining, but if they used him to hit for Barnes, Will Smith would've had to stay in and catch if the game was tied after 9. Anyway, they still have the best record in baseball after first stop on the road trip, so they're in a good spot. It's be 3 with the Marlins starting Monday, then 4 at Arizona before coming home.

What exactly is the point of bringing up young prospects to play once a week?

Experience, and potentially better pinch hitting and platoon options. Plus, if they perform reasonably well in limited action it makes them more marketable as a trade piece. Rojas, Taylor, and Barnes are washed. I think we could use some more youth to go with Roki and Pages.

I'm not sure how the Teo hammy issue plays out (he's fine with a couple days rest/or he needs an IL stint), but this might be a good time to call up someone from AAA like Rushing.
But knowing the Dodgers, they keep throwing Taylor out there, and they will likely just call up another arm to eat innings if Teo goes on the IL.

James Outman is in Miami, which doesn't bode well for Teo missing the IL.
