I think you're making drob's point. The Celts are so deep, they didn't even sneeze when the unicorn went down.

Jrue is so good and severely underrated. Remember, there was talk about Jrue getting the Finals MVP before Jaylen took over. The stats may not say so, but Jrue was the second best player in the Finals.

So now the Celtics are loaded and great but all throughout the playoffs the East was weak and the Celtics were overrated. Some of yall sure flip narrative real quickly!

Both can be true.

Celtics were really well rested, they didn’t need kristaps to get through the east cake walk.

I would personally put all my money in Jaylen Brown. Better value and if he exceeds Tatum's performance in another series or three he is top dawg. His conditioning and bulk skyrocketed this year.

That's because most of the time I'm being a smart azz.

Boston have been contending for years. Brad has continued to build even with the winning they've been doing. He's built an incredible team.

I also actually believe Tatum is clearly their best player. I also thought he did enough in game 5 to win the FMVP. But the media obviously thinks differently.

And he is corny AF

Jrue was absolutely incredible. So was D. White

I never get why people can never see something so simple.
Absolutely both can be true.
Boston didn't really play anyone that good.

Wild that they had Zinger on the shelf and still cruised.

Right!

You and drob were probably saying Dallas would beat Boston. Now you change your tune…

If the Celtics had to get through OKC and Minnesota, it could have been a different story.

Dallas was clearly winded and its performance in the finals didn’t reflect their true ability.

Boston clearly took advantage of that.

Lol.

So you got proven wrong and are now clutching. Talk about changing tunes. Ha ha.

I wanted Dallas to win.

But there's a ton of receipts all season from me saying Boston won't lose.

Jayson Tatum wearing a Jayson Tatum t-shirt is so… umm… Jayson Tatum.

I blame Khal for my recent posts. I had no idea JT was so corny and unintentionally funny.

Tatum may be as close to being a Bron as anyone else in the NBA.

Nah, its a fact. A whole lot of people saying they werent that good are now claiming they were a super team and stacked.

Tatum is so desperate for attention. Are there odds anywhere for him changing his jersey number to 8 or 24 before next season?

Tatum is a great player but if you watch him its frustrating knowing he could be better.

He deserves this ring as he was a part of a great team that won. This ring was a team win not driven by 1 or 2 superstars.

If you watch Tatum he is a player who knows and cares how many points he has. He will force stupid shots when up 20 points....

2 years ago when Butler scored 5-6 straight times in the 4th Tatum hid in the corner guarding a nobody.... Kobe or Mj mentality says im not letting butler score and doesnt save themselves for offense.

Tatum is a beta. Hence his hobby ranking amongst current players.

With the exception of a very small sample size in a few playoff/title games, Tatum was the far superior player on the Celtics all season, and has been for the last few years.

Over years of metrics, you can't just chalk that up to stat padding in garbage time. He definitely had a few mid games in the playoffs, but was overall pretty darn good, and in the clinching game had 31 in a blowout win in which he dominated all players start to finish.

The hate is mind boggling. He's 26 and just won the championship. Let him celebrate how he wants. 99% of athletes are spoiled brats get over it I say.

Nesmith changed his jersey to 23 so you know it can be done.

Both can absolutely be true and the Celtics happen to match up well verse the Mavs. Had they played the Nuggets or some other team. This may be a different story

the small sample size argument (re playoffs) works in baseball, but not basketball
