The problem is that 4th wave feminists see all men as holding women back instead of embracing that men and women have different but equally valuable qualities and that women are just as capable as men in their own way

4th wave? When does their spaceship land?

Maybe get your compatriots to stop giving them so much free ammunition and perhaps that would help repel the invasion. Go take a look at Leslie Jones' twitter feed.

26 to 6 in Trump's favor currently. Not surprising.
Luckily for Clinton, she doesn't need the 40 year old male vote to win.

My view is that no matter what people say to pollsters, once they are in the voting booth, if they have anything at all to lose, they won't be able to vote for Trump, who is not necessarily a bad person, but who could not be more of an amateur in this arena. If a majority of people feel that way, that there is nothing to lose, it is time for a change, and so be it. It doesn't worry me all that much. I purposely live where I do because we will remain Progressive no matter who is in the White House. While most of the country suffered under 8 years of Bush, we thrived despite him.

Had this thread been around in 2012, Romney would've had a similar advantage in the numbers, and yet he was still soundly defeated by Obama who became the first President since Eisenhower in the 1950's to win both of his terms with more than 50% of the vote. The same sore loser "lock him up, he ought to be in jail!" garbage was levied against Obama constantly from the very demographic represented by these current numbers, so for him to not only not be impeached and imprisoned, but to win again in a walk, was an unexpected and particularly bitter pill for them to swallow. The next one will taste much the same.

It's pretty clear Obama could top the 50% threshold again, if not for term limits. His campaigning for Hillary will give her a big boost. I don't know if she'll hit 50%, especially due to the third party choice on all 50 ballots, but she will beat Trump handily, by 5 million votes or so. The real question is whether or not the Democrats can take the Senate (probably) and the House (probably not). If they get neither, expect another 4 years of the kind of mindless GOP obstructionism that beset but could not defeat Obama. In that scenario, Republicans, with a moderate candidate decrying the very gridlock his party was responsible for and promising compromise going forward, would have a better chance to win in 2020. On the other hand, if they end up fielding a low quality group like the 17 also-rans from this year, they'd have no chance in 2020 either.

Does true gender equality consist of men being able to hit women back? I'm genuinely curious as to what "true gender equality" is as I hear that phrase but don't understand it's meaning.

That might need to go in the other thread. Although this thread does say "opinions" in the title so I guess you are safe.

Thanks. It really does aggravate me that people will compromise their vote (morality/position/beliefs/whatever) to go with the crowd. I don't care what party the person supports/identifies with; republican, democrat, green, libertarian, socialist, whatever. Vote for that person.

The country would be a far better place if the greedy SOB's had to lobby with more than 2 parties. Can you imagine the corruption that could be fixed if no party had supreme power in the legislature? I look forward to the day when ALL representatives have to work together to craft good legislation for everyone instead of what benefits their backers the most...

Frankly, I find the line, "I voted for so-and-so because they were the lesser of 2 evils" completely and utterly repulsive. It's completely cowardly to say that. It furthers the status quo of stagnation and division. It's YOUR vote. Stand for something other than, "not that guy/gal"...

Sorry that second paragraph obviously isn't directed at Josie. Just something I feel strongly about, and as someone that's tired of the same abhorrent rhetoric I can't keep that to myself.
Probably any other election I would agree. Problem with this election is there is currently an opening on the supreme court and I lean more right then left. So voting third party this election could possibly be the difference between a conservative or liberal judge. This matters to me. Voting 3rd party is a wasted vote in my eyes.

I was being serious about him calling Hilary a b. The double standard is the comment itself. He calls Hilary a b but feels equally as disgusted by Trump yet doesn't call him a dh or whatever is insulting to men. More respect is given to Trump by default. Is it because he is a man or because calling a women a b is easy? That doesn't mean I think he is a bad person or I "hate" him like you said. It is more offensive for a man to call a women a b than it is for a women to call another women a b though I would personally not insult another women like that. Though, I have called 2 women ever the C word since that was also brought up as a no-no word.

I thought we were still discussing how I said b, please and I took your comment as you thought it was directed at you personally.

Any other questions we need to clear up before I get back to work?

Edit: I said the word outright because I don't dislike the word itself. It has a purpose and a true meaning. I dislike the way it is utilzied.

0% chance Obama would get 50% of higher if he was able to run again. What state do you live in?

Please, tell me what major scandals Obama was involved in during and prior to his bid for president I'll wait while I sip on this

I can rattle off countless Hillary scandals. Obama certainly wasn't a pathological liar. I never liked Obama but at least he stood for something and he was genuine. Hillary only believes in the money and what's in it for her, she's the opposite of genuine.

And in my eyes, your perspective is off. Almost every single president in the last 50 years has appointed 2 or more justices. It's a cop out to say, "but this President is going to really affect the SCOTUS." BS. EVERY President gets the chance to affect the SCOTUS! If you wait to vote your conscious until a "safe time", you'll always be stuck with the status quo.
