About 3 hours away. The one at Carolina Forest near Myrtle Beach is about 5 miles from my cousin’s apartment. She evacuated, her dad went to help get all her important stuff out yesterday. They are calling for heavy rain Wednesday, it needs to hurry up. The only thing keeping Myrtle Beach safe now is highway 17 and the intracoastal waterway. The wind died down some overnight, so hopefully they can get the fire under control.

It was wild watching small planes land on the Intercoastal Waterway to fill the pontoons up with water, and dump them on the fire.

I have a friend just south of Myrtle that has been taking some photos.

I just logged into my KGLL account on the website and apparently I owed $15 which they never sent me an e-mail on. Paid that and looked at the teams. Looks like they only have 1 Jr./Sr. Team this year which means we'll probably be doing a lot of travelling. I guess most kids his age group are either playing high school baseball or travel ball. He has the same head coach as last year. He was decent. I just hope the other coach isn't a coach again because he was worthless and that the one pitcher's Dad who was a huge Met's fan and great fill-in coach decided to coach this year.

So I witnessed the following wager this weekend.

Degenerate A wants to wager $100 on the Red Sox + 8 Wins against the Total Yankee wins.
Degenerate B wants to make it $500.
Degenerate A say $300 but HE wins if it's a push. So Yankees 98 wins Red Sox 90 wins Degenerate A wins.
Degenerate B will agree to the push if the wager is $500.
Degenerate A agrees.

As I am a degenerate at heart I will offer the same wager structure to FT.
I get the Red Sox plus 8 wins. I win if it's a push.
I win you change your Avatar to a Red Sox avatar of my choosing for 6 months.
If you win I change mine to a Yankee avatar of your choosing for 9 months.

Im kinda mean, I make mine carry all his, and really dont see the need for a rolling bag (even as a catcher with his own gear). I bought a thing of eye black for the kids last year - was trying anything I could think to maybe increase their confidence.

We just got our league assignments for U12 this year tonight. Not a full travel league, upper level rec league and middle of that (theres Red/Blue/White levels for the Holt Jr Rams, though the Mason Pony League if I remember correctly).

Ryan evaluated at + Hitter and Fielder and Average Pictcher (which is the position he hates the most). So hopefully he'll get settled in quickly as starting Catcher with the extrra work he's put in and hopefully a fun season ahead! Got my Assistant Coaching spot on the team as well, so will have to see how that goes.

Potentially with the asst. work turmoil could be lots of extra practice and coaching time, or I'll be busting my butt to get there on time for practices depending on the day!

Thanks BNut. I have done that twice since my Son has been playing baseball. It was the worst time I've ever had doing something. Not to mention, I'm not going to be doing much on a baseball field with my knees.
