I didn’t know that technically Japan and Russia have never finalized a formal peace agreement from World War II due to a dispute over some islands.

We had a quote about 10 years ago to get plumbing put in for a dishwasher. The gentleman quoted us at $1600 becuase he said it would be really tedious to do. We stopped the project and just stuck with our portable dishwasher. It's time for us to get something new and I really do not want another portable one. Had another company come out today to give a quote. I was thinking much higher with inflation and how big of a pain this last guy made it out to be. The gentlemen today said how easy it would be.

Now that the rain and wind are gone, I had a better look at the house and fence. Had a company come out today and made a claim as my roof is in bad shape after the wind and I'm missing siding too. They did a temporary fix to the fence area that was separated and the dog could get through to the neighbor's yard. Unfortunately, they said insurance isn't going to cover the fence (several other sections are leaning) because some of the wood is also dry rotted. They can replace some sections which will cost me out of pocket.

We are going to call the company that did my middle SD's fence and see how much to replace the whole thing and if they finance because I'm sure it's going to be expensive as we would go with the vinyl fence and get away from wood.

I'm all packed up for VA beach tomorrow. Still shows snow down there on Wednesday, but they changed up here to possible storms.

The school already sent an e-mail stating they are giving packets out tomorrow to do Wednesday or Thursday if school has be to cancelled again since they have already used 7 snow days.

The storage facility is no more. My wife, middle SD, and I got the remaining things out this morning. While we were working on it, the lady came around on her golf cart and I told her we would be empty today. She made a note since she was going to her other facility and that she would check back and if the door was open, she'd work on my final receipt and cancellation of next month.

Went to get an oil change and tire rotation this morning. Got there for my 9:00 appointment and didn't get out if there until about 2:30. Asked them to check my starter as it has been a bit wonky lately. The starter was fine. However the serpentine belt and tensioner...not so much. It should not have taken 5 1/2 hours to get things done. However, they screwed up ordering the serpentine belt not once, but twice... They finally got the right belt then they broke the new tensioner. What a joke that was. Over $700 later... At least the car is running relatively quiet. I had no idea it was that loud. I was used to it. It has been many years since I have had to have the belt and tensioner replaced.

Does PA count it as a day if lunches are served? That was how the 2 hour delay scam started in NY.

Yes! Easy day for teachers. We get lots of those each year.
