There are over 5000 Hoskins. Forget the RC part. That's more than most of the other "commons" that are bringing some coin. Hoskins was going for more because of on-field performance. He is cold right now. They dropped a little b/c of that - the RC aspect of it. If/When he gets hot, watch them go up a lot.

I am glad you posted this. I thought I remembered a Jackie Robinson at the Summit but didn't want to be wrong and mislead folks.

I hope this sudden influx of value doesn't end up killing what we liked about the Living Set.

I know I'm contributing to it myself, but still... :/

eTopps didnt fail because of shipping. The whole program was designed to NOT take your cards in hand. The high shipping was part of the disincentive. Also once you took the cards in hand NOBODY was going to give you 1/2 of what the cards sold for in port.

IMO this is very much like the 2002-2003 years where if you had the early cards it was a great opportunity to make a bunch of money. The market is very illiquid and the majority of the cards are in the hands of a few.

Markakis at $200 isnt any different at Tony Banks at $200.

Also just like with eTopps at some point this set will hit a price where it starts to look just a bit strange. Maybe that is tomorrow. Maybe that is when the released cards have a combined value of more than say the 1957 Topps set. Maybe that is when these cards cost more than a case of Transcendet along with all the perks that go with that set. Who knows when if you would have told me that a 2001 eTopps Tony Banks was once in the top 5 most expensive football cards...EVER I would have said you are crazy but I saw that happen.

Thing I like about the living set is NO parallels! Acuna rookie card is what it is and we know the amount printed.

I just can't do the gold label for these. Imagine how good the PSA red will look on the Ohtani.

People are hungry for Living--every time I see something I'm thinking about, it's sold before I can make a move.

I do agree Jeter is good long term value. Alex Gordon if he can retire a lifetime Royal adds a lot of value. His injury this season is unfortunate timing.

Subbed because of intrigue.

So folks are buying up the living sets and flipping them for a few hundred?

And some notable base singles are selling in low to mid teens?
