She isn't having either of her sisters in the bridal party (can't wait for this to be told to them and the argument to ensue especially since she wants to use our granddaughter as a flower girl)

No one is walking her down the aisle.

No religious style ceremony or vows.

Having the old fire house chief's kids be "ring security" and they will be dressed like Men In Black agents.
Sounds like normal SD drama will ensue.

It's so dumb. My oldest is always marked absent because they give so much busy work, he can't get it all done in time. We have to guide him through the whole day.

I’m sure we’ll get a call from the school today about a virtual day tomorrow.

Yeah it’s wild.

They expect the parents to be home and be able to home school the kids whenever necessary.

We had one on Friday and the roads were clear when I left for work at 5:45.

I thought you were anti-wedding tradition?

Or just the one where the bride’s family pays for it?

Sounds like she and hubby-to-be want it to be memorable.

Enjoy your snow - we're in between the two big bands and probably you and Tritty will get more than us. I was up in Syracuse last night and just at the southern tip of the northern band - the stretch of I-81 between Syracuse and Watertown is a legendary snow belt - Tug Hill Plateau. They're getting wrecked today.

Don’t worry I will. Talk of another storm next weekend that could be bigger, let’s hope!

I do have to get the shovels and sleds out of the shed today. I also have to take down the soccer goal, I’ll make the youngest help me with that.

I just finished burying a roadkill squirrel that was in the street just around the corner.

Poor little girl...

You waited until January to do that?

Maybe I’ll close the pool today…

Unlike the lazy VT kids, they use it year round, unless there is snow on the ground.

It just doesn't seem like a wedding without some of the classic traditions.

No parent should be saddled with debt because of the desires of a daughter going wild on a wedding they don't have to pay for . All of us are paying for this one as now dear old Dad is paying a third of the money. I wonder if that will stop after he hears he's not walking his daughter down the aisle or probably have a Daddy-Daughter dance.
