From what I recall reading, no gun was found to have been used there.

But, they could have done anything with the gun by the time the investigation came around.

Ja's statement was "All that stuff, pretty much false. It's been proven. That's all I've got to say on it."

The use of "pretty much false" makes me think something happened but just didn't produce the evidence in the investigation.

I wouldn’t read too much into the words he uses. Have you seen his tweets? Vocabulary and grammar are not his strengths.

Im just commenting on how daeve factually said that ja did that when that is currently unproven and false regardless if it was just a laser or a laser attached to a bazooka. All we know is that it came from a vehicle that ja was in.

Thought the suspension would be longer (40 ish games). League looks stupid and pampering to next generation of stars who are bad ambassadors of the league. I’m never taking my kids to see a Grizz game nor buying anything with Ja on it.. Forget that nonsense.

50+ was the bare minimum imo. Silver looks softer than when he only gave him 8 games. If you want to protect your brand, SEND A MESSAGE! Not a single player with clout is going to stand up and behind Ja with a 50+ suspension. The guy is a picture of the human condition ... we are our own worst enemies... hope he turns his life around but I don't think punishments coming from the league office are likely to be the catalyst for that either way.

Prior to the suspension announcement, Silver said he wanted to work with Ja so that his time away from the team/game would be productive. So hopefully between now and his return to the court, Ja turns it around.

All things considered Silver gave him a slap on the wrist and sent a message to the rest of the players that if you defy me, at most you'll miss 2 months of what is becoming a less and less meaningful regular season.

25 games does put Ja below the threshold for winning any kind of major awards though.

It’s the repeat offense that’s my problem. And his transgressions he never saw punishment for. The guy is a joke. But Silver has demonstrated time and again that he’s spineless, so I’m hardly shocked.

Ya and Morant was punished before on this and did not learn his lesson and got off with another slap on the wrist. Silver is the weakest commish in any sport He lets the NBA continue to keep up the image that the players are nothing but street thugs.
