Sucks to hear about Wakefield and his wife with the whole cancer thing.

Definitely thinking about them as they go through it

On the Red Sox playing side this off-season could set up to be very good. Tons of young players flying through the system (last couple year drafts look to be great) and management seems like they are ready to make a change to get back to winning.

I know I’m not supposed to be, but I feel bad for Chaim. He was dealt a bad hand, and built up the farm system again, and now kicked to the curb for the the next GM to be lauded for what Chaim is actually responsible for developing

They have given up. No excuse to be shut out the past two games.
I truly believe they have tuned Cora out. In my mind, he has to go. I think that he has lost this team.

Also, shame on the team for essentially giving up after the deadline. I agree that some moves should have been made for some arms but you are professionals and have to overcome that. Get over yourself an play the game.

I think most fan bases would take 4 titles with some last place finishes sprinkled in in a twenty year span. Yes as a Yankees fan I can say they haven’t come in last place since 1990 and their last losing season was 1993 but one World Series in 2009 hardly makes it worth it.
