Sent a bunch of of my cards off for in person autographs and received my first batch back and thought I would post some of my favorites.

Who did the signing? I haven't seen a Soto mail-in among the ones I follow who do these.

I’m not trying to be an #@#@#@#@#@#@#@ here…. Are you certain Juan signed these? I don’t believe these are authentic I’m sorry to say. Do you have better photos?

I am not certain as I was not there when they were signed! I just sent my cards with a whole bunch of money and this is what I got back. I will have to sent to PSA to authenticate! That is the risk I took! I will try to get you a better picture if you want to authenticate for me!

Again don’t take it personally I’m not suggesting you are the one that signed these. Unless you did and that’s a different story altogether then. They won’t pass buddy. Juan did not sign them. With better scan I will gladly show the inconsistencies. Could you share the info for the private signing? Email or web link? I’m sure many other regulars in here could also point the problems with the sigs.

I'm not an expert on handwriting/autograph authentication so I won't weigh in on that, but I certainly second the request for information on where/who was responsible for the signing(s), because that's useful information whether they're genuine (a new resource!) or not (someone to avoid!).

Thanks these photos are better. Are these all mail in? Soto and Vlad are not authentic signatures. I don’t collect wander or Julio so I’m not able to say without comparing but I would have my doubts. Can you share the company or info that details the private signing? Location where you sent cards? Anything would be helpful.

Edit acuna and tatis too… not real I’m sorry.

To be clear… there was a private mail in signing where the 5 biggest stars in baseball were chilling together? Or if not together chilling with the same company that helped facilitate these autographs? Did you mail them in at the same time?

How would one person be able to forge so many players signatures so well? Can you tell me how you know the Soto signatures are fake? If they are fake I wasted a ton of money and ruined all my PC cards. That would be horrific. I was assured by the source they are all authentic. I would like to keep my source private at this time until I send the cards for authentication. I was suppose to send more in, but maybe I will wait.

Genuinely curious...

At what point do autos from Soto and Acuna start to lose their appeal given how many are out there?

I guess this goes for any sport. These guys sign so many products so when will the market become oversaturated? Are we there yet?

Im a little worried that you wont reveal your source. Acuna, Vlad & Wander have deals with USASportsMarketing for their signings. If its not thru USA...then was it a backdoor deal? Thats where my worry would come from on authenticity because USA isnt going to risk their entire business for some fake card IPAs.

You’re sending more in?! So this is a regular private signing program? I’ll detail sone of the inconsistencies once you let us know the source. For all I know you are the one signing these cards… you could also compare to the most recent pack issued Soto auto in this thread. These aren’t bad fakes but they’re not all that good either. Vlad is way off.

"Maybe I will wait"

There has been enough red flags to pause on these posted from different members.

Trust me I am not faking signatures and posting on here! I paid for these and now I feel very stupid.

Thr answer is: same as Trout. Trout has a ton of autos but the go to ones are 2009-2011. Soto will be 2016-2018. The rest will be, "just another Soto auto" just like all the 2012-now Trout autos.

They have 15 more playing years and future cards to be made. There will be hundreds of thousands of them by that time if they continue signing at the current pace. While appeal may never be lost there probably won’t be any real value unless it’s RC or limited print run. A random 2023 pack issued Juan Soto base auto card is not a long term play. A fun pull and a wise flip.

I don’t believe you are the one faking these and I feel bad that you were duped. But common sense should come a knocking when you think it all through. Not much more we can help with until you share where and how and when these were supposedly signed.

Probably bought on eBay. He had another post mentioning some autographed cards, from basically the same players, were purchased on eBay and wanted advice on where to send.

If sent through the mail and paid good money, most will offer "witnessed" authentication. Just another layer of protection even though fakes can be passed through.

Posting this to point out the huge variety of Vlady signs over the years…

Can you point out the tells that make you think these are fake? I have a guy trying to sell me a signed jersey and red flags are already going off (it is jsa auth) - sig looks real but I admit I am a not qualified to make a determination.

Thanks for posting this...I am starting to feel a little better! Mine look very similar to the topps chrome blue refractor auto you posted.

Missing '27' was the only thing I noticed. The auto itself, no idea, I'm no expert.

The mail in Vlad cards posted above have different loops and angles than any of the ones you posted here. And the biggest tell is the underline. Vlad never lifts his pen causing a break. Perhaps if one of them had this it could be a unique circumstance but all of them have it lifted. If you compare with your own eye you will quickly see how different they are.

Psa, jsa anyothersa… if you want a Vlad signed jersey make it an adventure to get one for yourself. You’ll know it’s authentic and it’ll have much more meaning to you. It’s not like signed jerseys hold any real monetary value. The value is in the signature and the story on how it was acquired.
