It's not a "side" ... it's an ideology. Biden wins, you pay more, it's that simple. And more is not just a reversal of the money saved w/ Trump ... more is on top of that reversal.

We disagree. I still hear dissenting opinions DAILY, in this very thread none the less. But we can agree to disagree on that, I don’t think there’s a right or wrong in answer on someone’s perspective. I definitely can understand where that one is formed and it is based in something real. I respect your opinion.

To the second question, it depends. I don’t find them to be as radical as many others, but that’s just me. I also don’t think they have a shot at higher office, and in the unlikely event that they do they have little to no political will to even begin to enact any type of policy. Not in our lifetime will that message get through. You’d have to have a total collapse of the economy, which isn’t likely to happen.

I think Donald Trump will be the only “outsider” type of politician. It’s easier to come through the Republican primary system as an outsider than it is the Democratic one.

I don’t pay any mind to Democratic bluster. We saw in 2016 what happens when someone who wants to change the system gets momentum. We saw it again in 2020, to a lesser degree because a greater one wasn’t necessary. The Democrats aren’t enacting any form of socialism in this country.

Meh.

I definitely do spend more than I pay in taxes though...

I’d definitely trade my 3% income tax boost for a 3% reduction in consumer good pricing. Government get to subsidizing MY STUFF!

The handbook is always raise taxes but leave loopholes for the rich to find to cut their taxes while the middle class takes it up the rear in paying more.

Omar will never get higher then she is. Foriegn born will never be able to run for VP or president. Also she's a radical clear she is anti-semtic how she speaks. Only reason she is in office is because of her district being a high amount of somila nationals.

Most everyone in the 99% does. And to be clear, I'm no fan of tariffs and wish the world did away with them. But that's not real life, so I have Wikibuy to make sure the stuff I buy is the cheapest POS available.

2024 guy who I think would be good to run for office because he's not really left or right is Mark Cuban. He would be a guy who would say hey rich we all need to pay our share of taxes but also would not be with all this socialist BS the far left wants to push

Sure, but that's not something in the mainstream right now. Doesn't make much sense to me but also haven't really given it the time to consider.

Ehh I feel like that's always been a thing. Once people find their way they move less progressive because they realized that capitalism does work if you try correctly. It's just hard for some people coming out of college to believe they will ever be out of debt. When you're 65, you already went through life and realized that you don't need communism. I think the younger generation will always support socialism but I think the older democrats will level them out. I think the radical left is just a lot louder. Maybe I'm wrong though, you would know better than me.

In regard to the “where is this radical change you speak of?” I don’t believe it’s so much that “things are terrible... the sky is falling,” as it is that many people are looking at how easily a movement like BLM can dominate the social discourse, sway public opinion, and influence political leaders, and the people seeing this don’t like the direction of things. And no, it’s not because they’re racist and wear their KKK outfit while hollering whenever they see Trump on TV. It’s because they see cancel culture steamrolling everything in its path. People are losing their jobs because they didn’t say exactly the right thing exactly the right way.

That’s not even getting into the fact that the premise of BLM is hardly as concrete as the movement and media make it out to be. Don’t take my word for it. I can point you to many black sources that know the data better than any of us do, and they aren’t buying it. Ask and I’ll share. Some of them were already posted in here.

Minneapolis is taking steps to abolish their police force. How realistic is that? I don’t know. But the fact that it’s moving through the political chain means it’s serious enough. I don’t think I need to explain why this isn’t something I’m down with.

The BLM leader in Toronto says whites are subhuman and that “melanin directly communicates with cosmic energy.” I don’t have to go very far to find someone who supports BLM, and while they may not be aware that some BLM leaders believe this, it’s out there, and it’s being perpetuated by BLM leaders, not the radical fringe of BLM.

Do I think BLM is some direct threat to my well-being? Not really. But I see the kind of messages being sent, many of which aren’t wholly accurate, and I see the effects of those messages on people who haven’t committed some ultimate sin by my standards. Stabbing someone is far worse to me than having a terrible set of beliefs or poorly placing an ignorant comment, yet I think we’d be more inclined to welcome the violent criminal back into society at this point. And no, I’m not suggesting that everyone who says something racist should get to keep their job. I’m suggesting that maybe the professor who writes a snarky reply back to students who demand he give out a high mark to the black students shouldn’t be forced to leave his job for it. Private university does what private university wants or something something, but that’s 100% a pressure move created by BLM when he should’ve never had to address such a ridiculous inquiry in the first place.

Admittedly, I’ve only started paying attention to this circus known as politics very recently, but some of this stuff “feels” more real than anything I’ve been alive for.

It's not and definitely not something the establishment Dems want to address.

Give Yang a listen if you're interested. He's a smart dude and in my opinion more in line with where I hope the Dem party will go in 4 years. He's only 45 so actually seems to care about the future.

I've listened plenty, seems like a smart, good guy. And if he gains more traction in the next round, I'll probably consider his ideas a lot more. Neighbor still has his Yang Gang 2020 sign out in the yard; makes me smile every time I drive buy it, wondering "does he know it's over?"

This is how you dialogue:

(fabricated) ex. The Russian oligarchy is taking over the Earth and have created Breitbart news in an attempt to seize power from Americans.
Why do you think this is good?
Huh?

Let me explain. If someone from China sets foot on American soil and we give them a piece of paper that says they are an American citizen, do they suddenly share our American beliefs and values?

If you were granted Japanese citizenship, would you suddenly acquire all of their values and beliefs? No, it is silly to believe that.

Our education system used to take immigrants and teach them about our history and the amazing things we did to spread freedom and liberty in the world. That is not the case now.

We have a Marxist political movement, supported by every powerful institution in America, that wants to forever change the American way of life. This isn’t some “fringe group”. These are the heavy hitters and it has filtered into every aspect of American life, it is impossible to avoid.
