I have an order that was received 9/22 as well. From the looks of it I am guessing 2 weeks out for grading.

Default SGc turnarounds

I've had 20 day orders completed in 15. I even had a 7 day order take less than three days to complete. However, those were mainly from late last year.

This year, with PSA's backlog, more people are starting to use SGC as their PC backup grader. As such, I've had some slower turnaround times. I had a 3-day order take 5 days which is not too bad. But, I did have one 7 day order take 15 days. So there is a noticeable lag with some orders, lately.

Overall though, I would consider them a good grading servicer overall. Considering the grading climate we have,. at this point you almost have to expect some orders to be a late. No one has guaranteed turnaround times anymore.

As of this posting, SGC will begin processing your order the day after it has been delivered. So at least you don't have to wait days to weeks for your order(s) to begin the clock.

My only order with them now received on 9/22 and it is still showing received as its status as of today 10/22 if that helps anyone with an idea of current times. Granted they work in business days not 7 days a week so that is to be taken into consideration.

Got my 9/13 order in this morning. Boy it was worth the few days not looking at grades to be surprised! After a mixed bag first order (but mostly positive) I think I knocked it out of the park with this one. The Brady Refractor I *knew* was a 10 all day but tinfoilhat side of me had me convinced I wouldn't be the one to get the 1st gem on the pop report. I was only "disappointed" with 1/12 which was the Fitz base 9. I had it a solid 9.5 so I might have to look that one over again.

Expected Grade in ( )'s

1 2004 Topps #360 LARRY FITZGERALD 1st Edition 9.5 (Exp. 9.5)
2 2004 Topps #360 Larry Fitzgerald -- 9 (Exp. 9.5)
3 2005 Topps #431 Aaron Rodgers -- 9.5 (Exp. 9)
4 2008 Topps Chrome TC3 TOM BRADY Refractor 10 GM (Exp. 9.5+)
5 2018 Donruss #304 JOSH ALLEN -- 9.5 (Exp. 9.5)
6 2019 Panini Select #204 Kyler Murray Silver Prizm 10 GM (Exp 9.5+)
7 2019 Panini Prizm #301 Kyler Murray -- 9.5 (Exp. 9.5)
8 2020 Donruss Optic #164 Jalen Hurts Holo Prizm 10 GM (Exp 9.5+)
9 2020 Donruss Optic #164 Jalen Hurts Holo Prizm 10 GM (Exp 9.5+)

11 2020 Panini Prizm #343 Jalen Hurts Silver Prizm 10 GM (Exp. 9.5+)

12 2020 Panini Chronicles PB-19 Jalen Hurts Prizm Black 9.5 (exp. 9.5)

My 9/17 went to Post Grading Last night. So that seems to be about where they are.

SGC returns have slowed down, but they are light years ahead of the other two relevant grading companies.

Same here.

It's a big one too (for me at least). Excited and nervous to see what comes back.

Delivered to SGC on 9/16

Graded/Post-Grading on 10/21

Shipped from SGC today, 10/25.

This was a one-card order (a 1948 Joe DiMaggio that I only wanted the A for "authentic"), and it took 39 total days (26 business days) from delivery to return shipping.

Was checking the Pop Report for a card I have and found this strange.

They have given an "A" grade to 140 Rulon Gardner base cards from 2016 Topps Team USA Olympics.

Seems random.

Kinda don't understand the big deal about paying up front. The money is gone for the service either way so what does it matter if its now or in 35 days?

Sub with NashCards. They don’t make you pay until your order is ready to be shipped back to you.

Anyone with a recent order moving to post grading? I'm curious what date they are up to now. I have a 9/22 still sitting at 'received'.

It's not a big deal. It only makes the customer feel better about paying when the work is done. It doesn't impact me personally. SGC, and other companies, need to do what's best for them.

If PSA or BGS was charging up front and having that money for ~1 year, that's a long time. You can do a lot with your money in 1 year. Or 1 month? I think the time is part of it, and how it's viewed, as either acceptable (1 month?) vs. unfavorable (1yr).

I don't want to start a whole thing on this. It is what it is. If you don't like it, you're certainly free to spend your money elsewhere. I'm looking forward to slabbing a few vintage cards with SGC and I'm fine with paying up front.
