I'm ticked at my Mom because when I called her yesterday to tell her we are having our Son's birthday celebration on Saturday (the day before his actual birthday next month) after his baseball game, she told me she had already committed to our nieces 2nd birthday party on the same day (her birthday is the following Thursday). I don't care if that party was planned before ours, IMO you should be going to your only grandchild's birthday.

You also shouldn't have committed to the other one before you checked with us on when we were having his.

As my wife said (and I agree with her) that shouldn't matter. She knows we always have his party on the Saturday closest to his birthday. Only my Aunt would plan a birthday party 2 months advance for a 2 year old.
