the cheapest and best way so far for me on the return shipping has been to put in your own fed ex account #

just create a free account online with your card tied to it and then you have a fed ex number to give to CSG. easy peesy

Can you insure it on the return shipping this way?

Here is another data point for the CSG/CGC PWCC partnership.

Sunday Auction:

14,187 total items:
PSA: 8698 Items 61%
BGS: 1199 Items 8.45%
SGC: 933 Items 6.57%
CSG: 1774 items 12.5%
CGC: 1341 items 9.45%

Slight increase for CSG and decrease for CGC. I am guessing the convenience factor will help this going forward. Surprised they didn't offer this service this to eBay. Maybe once eBay has the vault set up they will partner with one of the TPGs

Here is the data from last weeks Sunday auction

12837 total items:
PSA: 8137 Items 63%
BGS: 843 Items 6.56%
SGC: 711 Items 5.53%
CSG: 1531 items 11.9%
CGC: 1378 items 10.7%

Not sure how you’re coming up with your numbers, but they are not correct. There were only 6,668 items in the weekly that ended 7/3. I think you are combining all of the closed auctions, which goes back to the June 12 auction.

Here’s the numbers for unsold or sold for $24 or less from July 3.

CSG 244/458 (53%)
CGC 372/769 (48%)

This is a staggering number of junk slabs. Not like other TPG numbers are that much better. 39% for PSA, 31% for BGS, and 26% for SGC.

Oh I see. I get the numbers from here.

https://www.pwccmarketplace.com/weekly-auction

Didn't realize they combined them. I also noticed a big chunk of the CSG slabs are the old ones. We will probably need to come back in a few months to fully see is this program works. Only info we have for now is that they did 7,000+ in the first 3 weeks of the program.

They had 7000+ submitted, but only 1800 returned to be sold.

Yup, I am suprised more weren't returned to be sold seeing the estimated 10 day turn around.

thank you CSG users.
PWCC has a great program, you should send them your card and get ultra fast turnaround times.

I think CSG is more backlogged right now than we think. My 6/9 received order is still scheduled for grading and that was when they were quick on TAT. Right around when I submitted, they announced price increases and the PWCC program. These two factors will cause bulk to be way past the 40 day TAT. It wouldn't surprise me that orders received this week will be pushing 4 months to be returned.

It would shock me if they went to 4 month turnaround time with these recent orders. They are not PSA although 4 months would be lightning fast for them.

There was a lot of junk I noticed in the auctions starting at $11. I saw cards like a 1985 Topps Rich Aguilera or 1982 Fleer Ray Knight. Along with a ton of junk wax Ripkens, Ryans, Jordans, etc. Also a lot of vintage graded in the 3-4 range. Many of the modern stuff was in 8-8.5 range. None of that stuff is appealing at all to purchase and probably shouldn't have been graded in the first place. Maybe people trying out the process with low risk garbage?

There were many people, myself included, that sent in hundreds of cards at the last minute. Only time will tell, but CSG's grading capacity at the moment is only around 80,000 cards a month. It doesn't take much to create a backlog, especially when people will be sending in higher tiered submissions as the bulk continues to sit.

Most of the really bad cards in old green labels were submitted at the absolute peak of the hobby in 2021. At the peak, CSG had $8 grading and people submitted any card they had. These cards were not for trial or for PC's. They were for flipping by uneducated people that entered the hobby that thought every card was going to the Moon!

I just got my 6/9 bulk order back today. Yours is probably going to move very soon.

I probably pissed them off sending in a T206, 1941 Play Ball, 1991 Topps Desert Shield, 1950 Bowman's, 1950's, 60's, 70', 80's, 90's, and even modern cards in the same order. Plus, it consisted of baseball, basketball, and football. They were probably like screw this and put it at the end of the line.

Jelly, as you see, some, but not all, never even use the company or haven’t in a long time, especially since they changed their labels.

50 card bulk

Shipped 6/13
Received 6/14
Scheduled for grading 6/15
Grading / Encapsulation / Imaging 6/27
Quality Control / Finalized 7/1
Marked for shipment 7/6

14 business days for bulk is blistering fast. However, my 7 card reholder sub was received on 6/28 and has yet to be entered into the system. So I may have beaten the bulk rush but I could see CSG slowing down due to all the people sending in subs to beat the price increase.

bulk sent in ... delivered July 1st
Marked as Received July 5th
(didnt expect much faster with the Holiday weekend)

Lot of PC stuff, with maybe like 10-15 to sell to help recoup grading fees.

What's interesting is that when I did an 18 card reholder ... same thing, took a while.

Yet I stuck a 2 card reholder in this bulk i just submitted and its now entered same time.

I've been in Grading/Quality Control since 6/29 for Economy, which isn't even a Status option listed on their page. Hopefully now that the holiday is over it'll get moving along this week.

Has anyone ever experienced an order sitting in quality control for weeks?
