A private school in the state played an inner city public school last night in a game where no fans were allowed. Apparently, kids at the private school made social media posts involving players of the other school and included racist content about them. From what I’ve heard, it was serious racism stuff.

It was horrible stuff. Like portraying players as slaves eating watermelon and stuff. Stuff like that makes me sick. Makes me even sicker knowing that it will be swept away and nothing will happen.

As somebody who picked up his friend of a different race to go to a football game tonight and has a date with a woman of a different race and her daughter tomorrow, I can’t stand racism. When I see it, I call it out. I don’t care who it is doing the racism, they get called out.

Part of me wants to drive to Charleston to support the other team for their next game.

So ironic that it's a Catholic School too. Obviously the kids aren't paying attention in Bible class.

My Son's team was slaughtered yesterday. They played an all high school team from Carolina County. They lost 20-0. They were no hit. My Son's team had 6 walks, a hit batter, and someone reached on an error and that was it. I'm not sure what the lesson is here playing middle schoolers and 9th graders against all high school kids. My Son played left field in the 1st, 3rd, and 5th innings. He had no fly opportunities, but he did get some singles back into the infield quickly. He went 0-2 with a K and a ground out to 3rd. The coaches left our starting pitcher in too long and he hurt his hand.

I can't wait next month when we have to travel an hour plus to get slaughtered by these guys on their home field.

So for bigdog, I wonder how your league would handle this. As I said, my Son's team got slaughtered by all high schoolers. Our catcher is 12 years old and is a small kid. In the 4th inning, one of their 16 years kids was coming home and he was dead to rights as our catcher had the ball and was waiting for him. The dbag kid ran him over with a football style tackle. He was immediately thrown out of the game. His response to the umpire was that he was attempting a slide. There was zero attempt and a head first or feet first slide.

Then the umpire starting yelling at our coaches because I think they started cursing the other team out. I couldn't hear what they were saying from the stands. The King George cop should have arrested the kid for assault.

At least the head coach of the other team came out after heads cooled down and asked our catcher if he was all right and gave him a pat on the back. The coach by us on 1st base said nothing. He just looked annoyed that the game was delayed.

My wife slept in at the fire house last night. She had some nice wake up calls at 4 and 6 AM for calls.

My Son and I watched two Halloween movies and some episodes of Key and Peele.
