Saddening to see Jim Ross' wife passed away tragically after she was struck by a teen driver, while she was driving her Vespa to the gym.

Such a tragic situation all around for Jim Ross. Heartbreaking.

17 year old hit her from behind and she wasn't wearing a helmet. Regrettable situation on both ends and now the 17 year old has to live with that the rest of his life.

WWE in talks with ROH to buy them

Would assume this is more to just get the library to add to the network to spotlight some of the talent they've signed over the years.

They had a survey months ago that talked about additional pricing if they were to add ROH/TNA to the network.

Also just thought since they've been in talks and have deals with certain European Indies, what if they used the network to become some sort of super library and all encompassing 1 stop shop for wrestling fans? Add pricing for indie wrestling, give the promotions a cut, plus the indies get exposure from being on the Network and reach a larger audience.

But it is to be noted that while they've talked and met nothing concrete or substantial has come about from the meetings

that would totally suck if that happens.

i know its a long shot...but they are really the only place left for hope, even if it is 0.001% chance of ever "competing" with WWE.

it might be more than just a library grab though...they need to restock NXT because i assume after WM, it wont be long before Nakamura, Itami and for some reason they want Tye Dillinger...will be bumped to main roster

add in the eventual Revival promotion...

ROH isnt necessarily deep, but they have nice additions

Adam Cole, Kenny King, Jay Lethal...throw in the tags of ReDRagon (or Fish/O'Reilley as singles), former Motor City Machineguns (Shelley/Sabin..or as singles to add to cruisers eventually)...its a shame but i doubt WWE would have any interest in Addiction/Bad Influence, as Kazarian isnt really a solid singles wrestler imo, and Daniels even though he can run circles around everyone, is pushing 43 years old...

Damn that sucks, heard about when it happened the other day but didn't see she passed away until I saw this. Very unfortunate, thoughts and prayers to him and his family.

Finally getting around to some older podcast of Art of Wrestling. The Cody Rhodes one is good. He gave a nice shout out to Tye and told a funny story about ribbing Sting, when he was younger.

eh I'm not big into ROH but they are a shell of their old self. They aren't able to retain young talent and have made questionable talent decisions alone on guys like Dijak, Rush and Elgin in the past couple of years.

Plus you've had a major people leave them recently like Kevin Kelly (reduced his work with them, now working more for NJPW) and Steve Corrino.

NJPW by this time next year could become the 2nd biggest promotion in the US and that is with or without ROH being bought.

ROH's business with NJPW is baffling and allowing them to come over to the States is mind boggling, and then the way they use their talent, and the talent that they receive it just seems so uneven.

So I guess Shawn Michaels was asked to do a match with AJ Styles at Mania and turned it down. I know he's done and retired and really doesn't want to comeback, but damn even at his age that match would be so much better than AJ and Shane.

oh i definitely wasnt saying ROH was good by any means just a " help me ROH-Kenobi you're my only hope" lol

ive watched it on and off..but the timeslots are terrible at best...i think like 10 or 11 Sat night on UPN and then a replay an hour or so later on FOX (if they dont have some random anime)

i was just moreso commenting on the talent that WWE could pick off instead of just buying the video library...

i mean its not like WWE is on its past policy of "burying" or not signing guys from other places..Joe, AJ, AA, Cesaro, Sami Zayn all spent time in ROH..

i didnt bring up the Briscoes either..because i dont think they are the furthest from a fit for WWE, plus im pretty sure ive heard/read of at least 2 try outs theyve already had and WWE showed no interest

geez, anyone catch 'Taker making a guest appearance at Texas Longhorns spring practice. Shows him being introduced by coach, and he walks up with a very noticeable limp. IMO the best thing they could do is make that match at WM a 3 way with Stroman. Have Stroman do most of the work for him, maybe 'Taker has one last effort towards the end with a chokeslam to Strowman through table and then tombstone to Reigns....Taker wins, comes out next night and says thats it......Hall of Fame 2018......

Been limping around like that for some time now. Been pretty noticable as of late though. I just can't see that match with Reigns being anything but awful.

At least we can all be glad Lesnar already broke the streak so Roman doesn't get to now

I'm going to say no. Everyone will remember Lesnar being the first to beat him, not Reigns. Up until that point, it was a given that no matter how the match went, the Undertaker would win. When Lesnar won, it was truly shocking to see it happen. That kind of aura is lost now so it won't be as surprising if Reigns were to win.

Nope.

Why on earth would anyone remember UT's second loss at WM more than the one that broke the streak? Lesnar's win was a true holy s*** moment. Everyone already knows Reigns is going over.

I personally think the effect of Roman going over Taker at mania might be close to the Lesnar win over Taker..... Just for the sheer fact that a bunch of people HATE Roman .... so it'll be more like a "WTF!!! F this man!!.... remember the time they put that chump over taker..... vince is such a troll...i can't believe they did that"

I know that's what I will take away from it..... I was shocked when Lesnar beat Taker and I think the level of effect will be close to the same when Roman goes over.. just for a different reason ....it wont be from shock but more pissed off this time around. Its the ultimate troll move ever......
