That is a great looking PSA 8. I really like the back centering, very sharp.

That is one I'll be keeping an eye on. Mine is very similar.

Looks like the edges got that one too.

Goldin's site is down right now. Not great timing when you have a PSA 10 ending tonight.

Supply has met demand. People have moved on to other stuff. People don't hate the 59, it's a great card.

But it was like a $300 card for the longest time, they jumped to $1000 last year....and now it's 7K...

Thanks for the reply. Certainly nothing wrong with the thought—just challenging it because I love the discussion! Are you thinking all the early Fleer 9’s will lose their recent gains and settle back in to where they were before they took off or is there a new floor?

I’m mostly disagreeing with the idea of comparing the 10 and 9 market. Although they are not perfectly correlated, you can say that the higher 10’s go, the more 9’s will follow unless it’s a rare instance. When you see 59 10’s approaching $60k, it would be a head scratcher to see 9’s even return close to $1,000 again without a substantial crash in 10 pricing. Unless you just think only 9’s will wipe out recent gains across the board because of their pricing before 10’s took off. But just 59 9’s crashing seems questionable.

Who knows. I’m glad you’re here and love reading the posts.

Holy F'ing Christ! His site crashes every auction and they blame it on the SimpleAuctionSite software. I thought he just got it all cleaned up recently.

Not a good look at all. I would be upset if I had a large ticket item ending soon. Might have to consider Heritage.

Good Lord. I've got an 8.5 with two 9.5 subs that I bought back in early January for $600. So glad I pulled the trigger on that card!

OG slab. Back then BGS did not hand out 9s on corners and edges lightly. Centering got an 8.5 and it is well within PSA 9 range. Adds up. I'd guess 50/50 chance that one crosses to a PSA 9. Gotta crack it though.

Love the discussion too. I don’t ever see it getting back down to $1,000 but I don’t think we’ll see another 9K+ sale on it.

If I were to bet, I’d say they settle around 4-6K for a while and spike back up in a few months. That’s what happens most of the time.

If they do go back to 4K, I’ll buy one back.

Edit - just looked and there’s a solid looking 9 sitting at 6,999 OBO

Maybe the Vegas Dave check really did not clear for the Trout card like he claimed on here and they did not pay their internet bill. Someone needs ro tell him that Atari and Nintendo routers are not good to use for an AH for auctions🤣

This is what makes me hesitant about consigning with them.

It’s down way to much. Supposedly the last time it was down for well over a week Ken claimed it was totally fixed

Wow, the site goes down right at closing time. I would be PISSED if I had an expensive card on consignment with them!

I think they were using external servers from another company. If they didn't change to another provider after the last fiasco they might want to do so now.
